Hi Armani, I did not pay much attention to the showerhead stand. Maybe I will check it tonight and update you again. But what I know is that both my showerheads were damaged once its hit the ground. They are obviously of poor quality. But fortunately, my contractor replaced both for me, citing the same reason. In fact, in the recent town council's survey, I feedbacked that our toilet bowl flushing system is terrible. There are threads in this forum stating that we need to flush twice/thrice to ensure our big business are totally flushed. I think they shd replace our bowls FOC with better quality ones. I also feedbacked about the rubbish bins provided at the void deck @ lobby. They are too small and shd have upgraded to a size bigger. The sight of rubbish overflowing to the ground is common. SIGH.

Hi, You may want to request to talk to the Chinse guy, Mr Yiu. Think he is the in-charge in that miserable office. Talking to those Ind*** staff will make you boil, for sure. I tried it previously and gave up too. They are the foreign workers who may be good in labour work but not in communicating with residents here. Unless you can locate one Indian supervisor, slightly plump .... he is quite useful though. Just my opinions. What others think?

If not, get your contractor to do it for you, at some cost, faster and nicer than HDB. For sure. Cheers.

You are 50% correct and 50% incorrect. All contractors, by default, are businessmen (i.e. they do markup ALL items in their quotations). Some of them marked up higher and some marked slightly lower. As for my case, I did a comparsion with many several contractors and I strongly believe he is one of the lowest ( I wont say lowest). The curtains and grilles were actually pestered by me, and if not, they wont be given anyway. His quote was itemised and this allowed me to compare easily with others. Anyway, I have been staying here since Sept07 and I am happy with his workers workmanship. Thanks. Ya man .... nice to play games together .... we can organize one too if he is busy. The other day, I jogged from our block all the way to the new building next to One North at Buona Vista. A very nice building, yet to be open. On other occasions, I will jog from our block tothe end of the Dawson jogging track (ending pt at Tanglin Road, close to Crescent Girls). Dont have interet to jog at the tracks or mills. If talking abt gym, the one at Delta Sports Complex is better, think $2.50 per entry. Let's keep FIT together!

2 out of 3 lifts @ Blk 91 (low flr) not working since yesterday. The only lift working stopped almost every alternate 3-4 floors on its way down. Hope the other 2 lifts will be up by this evening when I return hm from work. Good to hear that you guys had an enjoyable time last Friday nite. A pity that both my wife and I cant make it. Best solution: take MRT or bus if your office is accessible by either train or direct bus. My office in Tiong Bahru, so that MRT from CW to TB, only 78c per way. Less than 10mins reach liao. Just that you need to find the right cabin to enter, to prevent being "giap" by the doors. Driving = spend $ on interest rates, petrol, carpark, servicing, insurance, depreciation, ERP, CISCO, washing and polishing ..... why dont we form car pool here? Those gg to west can share one, those gg to Tanjong Pagar or Shenton can share another one, those gg to outside CBD can drop off at a central place. Is workable if someone does the planning. hehehe ... Where is my CIO???

Alternative: Drive out from MSCP, turn left at the T-junction (beside the church/mosque). Keep right and U-turn at the X-junction (dont go down to the tunnel towards Farrer). After U-turn, keep left and turn left towards Jalan Bukit Merah (Queensway). Head straightdown till you hit the current CPIB, turn left and you will hit Leng Kee Road. But not too sure if the ERP gantry applies to both directions (Jalan Bukit Merah). If applies, then just pay 50c rather travel longer distance and wasting petrol. Not worth it and all the other jams, e.g. Depot Road (MINDEF), Margaret Drive (single lan with bus stoppings with no bays at times). Cheers.

To access Margaret Drive, come out from our MSCP, turn left at the T-junction (beside the church/mosque). U will be able to access Margaret Drive via thir route without having to pay ERP. Keep driving straight after you hit a T-junction @ Tanglin Road. Turn right to access Redhill/Leng Kee. What other alternatives?

With the new gantry up at our area, we will need to seek alternative routes. Think they are limiting the inflow of cars into Farrer Road - PIE. One gantry at Ikea area and the other located near Queenstown MRT. Alternative route will be via Margaret Drive - Tanglin Road (turn right towards Redhill). Eventully, ERP will cause jams at other areas, which then garment has reasons to put up more at those places, egg & chicken issue. Sian! Best to own a bicycle next time, environmental friendly and economical. Just that our small house doesnt allow us to "parK' our bicycles inside. If left outside, locks can be broken and bike ganna stolen. Guess, government wants us to use public transportation, but look at the cramped, in fact, overcramped MRT every morning and evening.
