I am also in the process of selecting a good sofa set. The choice for me is surely leather, but I am not an expert in discerning the various types of leather. So my main concern is being misinformed about the kind of leather and this relies a lot on the honesty of the sellers. After which, whether they deliver the correct sofa or not, is another variable.

I think that's also the reason why they have to build a little closet to house it. Share with us what HDB says after you report that "defect".. we can all learn something from there

Hmm AlisaWu, does that mean you will have 2 compressors? Might want to check with your ID on the HDB guidelines.. One of the IDs I met, said having 2 compressors on the air-con ledge is illegal.. So I'm not sure if your contractor is certain about this, or he has a way to go around this

My new BTO is a 4room flat and we are also thinking of hacking a wall to make space for an open kitchen. My concern on hacking that wall, is whether my floor tiles will be damaged in the process. But in my current place (old 4room), my parents hacked away the store room walls and it made the living room area look much bigger! So no regrets there..

I believe each flooring has their pros / cons. My BTO comes with timber-strip flooring and it will have its fair share of problems too. Thus, at this point in time, I am worried about how to maintain it on a weekly basis. Also, workmanship is an important factor to having good flooring. At the same time, workmanship is also something not within our control. So, I would say, choose what you are comfortable with, go ahead and enjoy it!
