Hi Sappyd, ours is from Floor xPert but arranged through our ID. The only reason why we used them is because of the colour. They have the exact colour I want. ID told us every brand is about the same the quality.

Floor has been laid (we absolutely love the colour, perfect tone), aircon pipings are up. Floor has been protected. We are looking at having the painting done and TV feature wall up this week. Progressing slowly but steadily. This aircon drainage is a little of a joke, it's really an eyesore. We have requested our ID to make it the mirror image so it will not be so obvious and slightly blocked by the curb. The aircon guy says it's best to have water draining straight into the water trap, if not water will always be landing on the tiles and long run it may leave a stain and cause some water proofing problem. Guess no best of both worlds.

Oh dear, read your reply too late and the flooring is up. We went over to look at it, seems alright. Hopefully nothing is wrong.

Finally, some works have started. Cement screed, shower screen and cabinet bases are up. Vinyl will be laid this Saturday, air-con first installation next week. Exciting times ahead! We have been really lazy and have not been to the new place often considering it's just a 15 minutes walk from where we are now. Thankfully our ID sends up updates.

Our lightings came last weekend, all is well and we are very satisfied with the what we got. Just one hiccup, one of the glass panel of our dining light broke. But luckily the seller was super nice and volunteered to replace a piece of the glass. Just fingers crossed that they are lasting.

Sharing with you how I upload my photos. I upload them into a private FB album then copy the URL into my RT t-blog. I find this to be the easiest for me because I still can upload via mobile.

The only have one white light in the whole home in the service yard. I feel warm lights are cozier and after a hard day at work more relaxing. Our tiles, floors and walls are all lighter toned so I guess for us it's okay.

We were caught by surprise today, we confirmed with our electrician 2 days ago and on the day we confirmed he actually arranged with my ID to meet today. We thought they were going to discuss what needs and how to be done, but just after 2pm this afternoon my ID sent my these. Low and behold... And we are almost done with the wiring! Talk about efficiency! Hubs and I are still quite amused.

A little update, we found the electrician whom previously did up my brother's place. He quoted us 30% cheaper and of course we have settled for him.

Hi Gingereve, yes we are going with Kompac Plus 10.30, it's the only colour we really want. We invited another electrician to quote last night, he has done a few of our families' homes and hopefully his quote is good for us. My hubby says he "click" more with this electrician. Yes, would appreciate if you can let me have your blinds contact. We are still swimming in the middle of the sea for this one.

Yah, the hubby wants Venetian blind in the living room and roller blinds in the other 2 rooms. I think got to get people to the home and quote. We are not really keen on Ikea stuff.

simple13, yah lo. We saw 9, it's so tiring. I cannot imagine having to co-ordinate all other stuff. Thank Yelena, I think we are going ahead with the ID's electrician after much consideration. Our handover is this Saturday and I think I will look another round after reading your post. Thank you for the advices.

Thank you for all the feedback. Maybe we will go with the ID's electrician afterall. Yah, carpentry and electrical are so expensive. I salute those who do ala-carte for the whole house.
