Balloted successfully in January 2012 and have received the keys in March 2015. Finally we can start the renovations! ID has submitted the renovation permit on 26 March but as of today, no approval from HDB yet More photos of the stuff we have bought soon!

Hannah, this is my second renovation and from my experience, there isn't much of a price difference between contractor and ID contrary to what many people say. At the end of the day, you will end up with someone whom you can click with. That's why need to set aside time to meet up because other than the price factor, being able to click with the ID/contractor is important too. It has to be someone whom you can communicate with. What are you planning to do??

Hi Frederick! I approached 5 IDs. 1 of them is the ID i engaged for my previous home Now 2nd home, I still ended up with him, hahaha! Signed up with Ideal House I hope to collect keys soon but now still in the midst of doing the second round of 3D drawings. For the 41K and 60+K, they quoted for the exact items?

Harriette, I've received your PM. Thanks very much! This will be my second renovation. I didn't considering having a designer and a contractor work together before. My first home was done by Ideal House in 2006 and I am very pleased with them. Many years have passed and I have forgotten much of my reno knowledge LOL. How does the quotation work then if there is a designer and contractor? The design will come first? Followed by the contractor giving a quotation based on the designs? If Jay does the design only, is he actually obliged to even visit the site on your behalf? Since he only charge a fee for design? I supposed coordination work will be done by Mr Yeak? Becos I require stuff like aircon, electrical works, window grills for my place & I won't have the time to source & coordinate everything ^^

Harriette, I'm so impressed with the tiling. I'm currently researching for my new flat and I plan to tile the entire place so tiling is so impt! Do you mind sharin Mr Yeak's contact? Also....Mr Jay does your design only right? What if we are handicapped in the design aspect LOL. Will Mr Yeak be able to come up with 3D drawings? ^^
