Hi! Here are the links! http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9736229990 http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=17013760089 http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=37758566210 You may want to buy one or two extra sets of the coloured glass. We bought one extra, luckily. One of our glass broke, don't know during delivery or shipping, and one of the wiring has some problems in lighting up. Cheers!

Carpentry is UP! Let's start with the kitchen where most of the "magic" was done! I wasn't disappointed with the glossy white laminates! View from the kitchen door. I love my built in oven and microwave~~~ The stove side of the kitchen. No top cabinets over here! Now pending the installation of the hood AFTER my ID shifts the chimney point. This is quite a headache booboo~ The dish drainer. Maybe it's common to all new houses nowadays that came with the reno. But this is nice as compared to what I have in my house now. I do have a question to all fellow reno-talkers here. Is it the norm now to have wooden carpentry at the sink area? I didn't really take a picture of the sink area. Maybe I will next time. But now it just comes in pieces of plywood stacked together. I don't know whether this is the norm but it is definitely different from my current house where we have the sink area built using cement and then tiled. No worries about water there. Not sure whether this will actually pose a problem in time to come?!

Oh yes it is bright enough to read a book. Our downlights are white that's why. Not all are warm.

Hi all! Been so busy lately. Sorry for the lack of updates. Renovation is still under progress! Yes still. My ID went back for his wedding and now another week for his company retreat. The entire renovation company goes on 1 week leave in Taiwan. Just before the lunar Ghost month. Anyway here are some updates in pictures. Painting got started. Chemical washing finally. So all the cement and rubbish GONE! Eovrich came for the bedroom flooring Another view

Geez thanks all for the votes! After one full circle, we decided to go ahead with glossy white! Thought that it will go well with our slightly industrial feel in the kitchen. Hope and pray everything works out! We were worried using matt white, or rather wooden feel white, laminate could risk making our kitchen look older and more 'back-dated' than it should. It has been 2 months since renovation started. Until now, we have only got the living tiles, kitchen wall overlay, kitchen cabinet bases and WIW 'fake' wall in place. Hacking works including hacking away the wall between master and bedroom 2 and the cover-up in master toilet as well as the service yard doors and windows. Other than that, nothing tangible took place. Which is disappointing. We thought things would progress faster since wet works are done but no. Our contractor got too busy and we got neglected as a result. Perhaps he got himself too many projects or maybe he was just being plain lazy. We don't know and don't want to guess since it wouldn't be constructive to our project anyway. One BIG note to all new home owners out there searching for ID, or rather contractor, we strongly recommend finding the person who is hardworking and diligent enough in following up as well as being responsible. Forgot to mention, our paint job is very half-past-six. The contractor said it was only half done. We hope so too. Colours were wrong for twice in a row. How careless can you be. But he offered to paint it back to our colour at his own cost. One clap for that.

Has anyone bought any doors and stuff from http://www.doctordoors.com.sg/ ? Are they cheap and good? Do they provide installation? I am so amazed by their website! So many of the doors to choose from! My ID just called and say both of my bedroom doors and the common toilet door exceeded the standard dimension of 3ft x 7ft by a couple of inches. So have to do a custom made door. Additional costs of course! Anyone has this type of issue before? He said it's because the flats now have bigger doors, esp for my area, for the old folks and provides easier access for those with mobility concerns. Is this true?? Sian now i have to source for my own door and hopefully they will turn out cheaper.

Hi lemoncandy! Thanks for your comments. The lights are wrong. And we are installing industrial looking pendant lamps! Hi PTopaz, Thanks for commenting. We saw the stainless steel one. But burst budget la! Plus I don't want my kitchen to look too cold.

But glossy white doesn't look very Scandi nor rustic. More modern? Wouldn't the third choice be Scandi rustic??
