    Good thing about concrete base is more lasting and stable, also not afraid of water sipping into wood. However like what you said, it comes with a price.

    If you wish for uniform look than the same kind of laminate for wardrobe, however ask your contractor if any quality and other possible issues using it. I will however go for a little contrast and go for laminate flooring, it is more suitable material for floor too. Don really have much knowledge on this, sorry.

    Heard from some forumers that Doctor Door service is quite lousy but product wise is quite good. For lock you can explore Yale, I remember seeing them having lock for both Metal gate and wooden door. Hope this helps and good luck.

    You can try using Flickr or other picture hosted sites to post pictures For minor paint works, i think you will require to DIY and touch up. (There should be leftover paint left for you from the painter) For the warranty, from what I heard is there should be at least 1 year coverage but however it will all boils down to the contract you sign and how you communicate with your ID as most of them will find excuses when problem like this arise
