Got to agree that even the furniture will be very taxing. Quality and worksmanship is another factor, I will suggest you go to those areas like Sungei Kadut and Ubi to take a look but check them out first online before you purchase, think there are some really bad service and quality which a lot have complain. Hope this helps

Yap. I will rather pay a little more for good service and worksmanship Esp. during CNY period, a lot of these vendors hang up and sell as they feel they have enough business.

1 thing that happen to my friend house is the cabling. Always ensure they cover up nicely for the cable tubing just in case (*Touch Wood) some roach or etc crawl in and shorted the whole house. Will also suggest to go take a look everyday (Night time after work) on the progress and work done so as to rectify problems early Hope this helps (*Just my 2 cents worth)

Just went for my HDB first appointment today. Totally forgot that bank loan requires 5% cash payment (Think this is going to hit hard on my Renovation funding) Anyway the key handing will be on 27th March In the meantime I will continue to stalk others Reno Blog and steal ideas ... Hahahaha ~

For the iron gates I think you will mostly get reply next week as to my knowledge a lot of these hardware suppliers tends to have longer holiday (esp those with Malaysian workers) Hope this help

If you cook often you will really need to wipe big time on those laminates i think (this happen to my friend house) Overall of the house look great except the Man Utd Stickers (Hey I am a pool fan so I got to said that ) ^^
