  1. Been seriously considering whether I should have built in wardrobe or those from ikea for my LO. One offers maximum storage while the other the flexi to change as he outgrows ~kids wardrobe to be updated after 5 years, according to magazines~. Till now, still having two thoughts about it. I figured after factoring the wardrobe cost, delivery n installation, prob it will cost half the price of a built in one. But it's also much smaller in size wor.. But then again, not a good idea to have "adult pattern" of concrete/ serious color of black or brown laminate wardrobe in LO's room either. ~fickle minded at work again~
  2. ~pat pat on shoulder~ the rest of the house are alright, boxing up will hide them up nicely. Think painting the trunking will make it less obtrusive, do u have pipes that needs to paint as well? Perhaps can match the paint color
  3. Oh isit? I dunno cos all along I liaise and sees him direct from the beginning, I tot it's standard for everyone else. He told us frankly that handover before cny is tight, but assured that work will be done just a matter of coordination. Since we are not in a hurry to move in, we decided to not rush and do it at a more relaxed pace and can think longer ~fickle minded (Even told him to settle his more urgent projects first) Yea, he doesn't write anything down either (say no need wor) so maybe it's a trade practice? He did draw on the walls especially during electrical planning stage, guess it's for the convenience for owners/ contractor/ sub con. Suggestions were given, some were questioned esp those we were excited about (我不是第一天做contractor leh) and sometimes he simple say 你喜欢你是屋主嘛.. No fault of his, as he's not an id (even Id designs based on owners preference) and ultimately we are the ones staying in the unit for the years to come. If u have any questions can just ask him, he's fast in responding. But at times when he's with customers or he's unsure of the answers, he will double check with sub cons (我要check一下leh) and revert back later. But he's can't remember quotations thou at least for my case. haha.. That one confirm will take long time! Lol I don think he visits mine a daily basis, since my progress is slowww and nothing much to see(we don either, hahahaha.... ) I only pop by as and when when there's something going on that needs me to go n decide what I really wan (SO tied down with work) or after work is done. IMO he good sub cons, they are very nice and accommodating people who knows their work well. Mine is an old tired looking resale unit that came with old flat issues which requires an overhaul. But at every start of the next Reno phase he's there to discuss with us and the sub cons together and work proceed from then onwards. So far, we like what we see very much. What's next at your Reno site? Btw, you having gotten your tabletop samples? Faster than me leh... Lol...
  4. Oops, I mean sealer for your walls, not frames... Hahahahhaha Yea.. Seeing so many colors is a challenge! My case is like.. I like this hue/oh that tone looks nice/ eh! Nice shade!/ candy crush color! Some more was browsing thru dulux n nippon. Woa.... Double attack. Not to mention online version! Personally I feel that the viewing online is different.. Contractor also highlighted that the variation online and the actual product can be quite a big difference as well. So catalogue was my reference book for awhile. Dulux has more to choose from, but my bro who is quite a handyman at home commented to me that he prefers nippon as he finds the other more diluted (he recently repainted his kids rooms himself using both brands respectively) so it's a case of "my brother says".. Lol. Also have to choose water or oil sealer. Which I don have any idea what is that. SO has no clue either. Again, turn to contractor and brother to ask simi Lai de. Finally came out with the 4 digits code. To be told that odorless easy wash n easy wash is different (prices too) ah, how I know.. In the end top up abit to save some brain cells n time.. Too relaxed; scared Kenna chased...
  5. Hahahah yea, I let you know again if I need? I have grey, so if u wan, I can pass u too. Then u can have multi color frames! Lolll.. But my painting is not complete, first coat only. Did u use oil or water sealer? Been wanting to ask u, what color is your bathroom huh? Love it! Not that I can regret and choose it now, but It's the color I like and perhaps can use it after a few years.. Where did u use your teal color ahh? Color of the year.. Btw, your jar of yellow paint reminds me of condense milk u know.... Hahahhahaa
  6. Hi Vicx, Woaa woaa woaa! Nicceeee! Simply irresistible place! Huge place too!
  7. Whoa start a blog? ~scared~ Difficult wor... I am not very i.t. Smart u see. Dun even know how to paste photo. Hahahhahaa (will see if Significant Other has time to teach) Besides my place is still naked; with painting going on now. The previous progress are mostly messy/ plastering scenes.. I must agree your jars of paint looks delicious too! Lol. Had considered teal color as well but dunno which wall to use it on; eventually gave it up. But might take up your offer of getting a small bit to color a picture frame or two; u think it can be applied to wooden ikea frames? I too Considered about getting the robotic cleaner (so convenient right!) but ultimately bot a dyson. Cos I dun have any frens that uses the robot who also own pets; so no honest reviews. Should have waited n see yours... Lol! Good to see that it works well! Do u use it on wood floor too? AnyScratches huh?
  8. Oops I mean k. Actually I din know he has an assistant until I read from u n elin. All along I tot he's one man show. Erm, my Reno has started sometime back.. Think most of the owners that started around the same period have already happily moved into their home sweet home.. Heeheehee Me v relaxed.. Now only at painting stage.. Slow coach right.. ( Told him to 慢慢来)He can be fast if you want him to; will rush n hurry you for decisions de. Experienced it during tile selection process ~sweats~ have a feeling he's going to start pressing at my progress. Stressed. Lollll
  9. Hi elin, You have A really lovely place, luv it! Thou I can't see some of your prior photos, but I m sure they are gorgeous! I can understand your point of not wanting to waste the carpentry drawers as personally I too feel how you felt. But are your drawers going to hold heavy items? Cos Blum drawers can hold pretty heavy ones.
  10. Hi hi hoji,Congrats on starting work at your place! He's handling my unit as well and I liaise with him direct via text/ cell/ in person. Prefer to text as it's more convenient for myself. Met him last weekend; I was there as carpenter needed measurement. Wasnt expecting to see him and he popped by (by surprise) and joined in the discussion( as well as checking the sealer and various paint codes with the painters as painting job is about to start.)
