Sorry to hijack the thread....while we are on topic of stains~ anyone knows how to get rid of green colored oxidization on aluminium windows?

Is this the picture of your layout? I see you used renotalk's gallery. You need to click on 'options', get the image link. Use the 'image' button and paste that link. Hope this helps.

No leh. You see mine....No standing pipes in MBR bathroom, but got one coming out of the wall at 45 degree angle slant, and a lot of pipes overhead near beam area. I haven't seen other pictures with such piping yet. Hahah....

Just noticed that the electrical outlet at the tall unit cabinet as suggested by Alex has also been completed. Think my reno is completing soon. Hohoho... Just left with the following: 1. iQuartz top for the kitchen 2. Kitchen tap installation. It's actually installed already if you noticed from the pics above. Alex says will remove it and install on the quartz top later. 2. Minor painting - touch-ups / doors.

Doors have been installed ~ Only had new doors at master room and storeroom. Photo taken from this angle just nice to show both the doors. The 2 other doors were retained, so I had to pick this door design as it's the same as the original doors. The classic door doesn't come in this design, so opt for a similar looking one. From the living room area, would only see the storeroom door. All the bedroom doors are hidden from view.

No carpentry? So your kitchen cabinets will also be off-the-shelf cabinets arh? great you are handy with painting. Me know zero so have to pay to get the place painted. Hahhah....

Belated congrats to your keys collection! Your place looks okay from the pictures leh. Just that there are some very strong colors there.

This was actually taken before the marble was polished. As mentioned in previous posts, I got curtain rods from Ikea. Contractor helped with the installation. I also purchased those ready made curtains from Ikea. I only got those mid-range ones, these shown in the picture are $59 a set. [not 100% blackout as you can see] Picture shows half of the curtain set only....I put it up only to measure how much I needed to alter. The 'standard' length is 250cm, it's too long for my place as you can see in the pic. Mom is getting neighbour auntie to help amend for mine. Note : Ikea does have alteration service too. You can also go to their sewing service counter with the measurements after you buy the curtains. I heard it's $10 per package of curtains...not 100% sure, better to ask from the counter if you are interested.

Hi~ these are marble. I retained the previous owner's flooring. You're referring to the rectangular 'dent' in the wall har? Based on the floor plan, there is a protruding wall beam in the living room on the right (near the windows). The previous owner built a fake wall to the left to 'match' the beam. So the middle looks like a dent lor, it was painted dark grey.....in the photos looked like some sort of frame for a huge painting. Considered to tear the fake wall down...but problem is we were not sure if there is marble laid on the floor beneath this fake wall. Previous owner did leave spare marble tiles behind, but even with those, it will cause a different 'color'. Not to mention all the skirtings will also need to be re-done. New marble and old marble, even same tiles still have 'color' difference even if they are the same batch leh. Used and new still can tell lar. haha... So ended up I decided to keep the fake wall feature with the dent.

Shiny flooring after polishing ~

Hope budget of $10k is excluding aircon and painting? Else not likely as i think aircon around $3k, painting around $1.2K. From my own place, I see Hacking and tiling are costly, so maybe can save if you not planning on any tiling works.

Oh, 10cm should be reachable quite easily... Can't determine the depth from the picture. I thought it is a full depth cabinet.

Wah~you can really draw very well. Just a note that the rubbish chute hiding under the cabinet thing makes it difficult to reach...must be prepared to squat and reach all the way in to open the chute door... while holding a bag of rubbish. By the way, judging from the markings, you will be using piped gas?

Quilt : http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=7285687513 I bought the single bed sized quilt at ‘丝重一斤’ [silk weight 1 'Kati'. aka. 604.8 grams according to google translation.] only. Depending on your preference, you can get 'thicker' ones. For me, I personally don't think Singapore is all that cold even with air-conditioning so I opt for the thinnest. [Actually I don't think it is very thin le....This thing is quite bulky.] Laundry bag :http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=15358896258 search '衣服收纳桶/蓝'. [direct translate : clothes storage bucket/basket] There are a lot more sellers and designs in taobao. I just decided on this shop as the reviews looked ok and they had the design I was looking for. 洗衣袋 I think is those laundry nets with zipper kind...where you can throw into washing machine to protect your clothes. Coz I eyeing a seller's listing but haven't buy yet. hahah....

No leh, mine don't look complicated. Yours look like there are separate pipings for the rain shower and the regular showerhead?
-
Nope, not needing one. Can't figure out what to put in a vanity top anyways.

On a happier note~ saw marble polishing in progress, not sure what white liquid this is though .

This is the first time I go to my unit 2 times in a day. Was there to take a picture of this broken mirror : Got it from Song-cho as well, but it is a 3rd party vendor product on consignment at their showroom. The salesgal did warn me before this item no warranty as it's not stainless steel. Exchanges without questions are only accepted within 7 days, these were delivered 6 March, and we only see this broken mirror when trying to install it......how now brown cow.... My mum called on my behalf to kick a big fuss at the head office as I was rejected when I called to ask for exchange. To be fair, also our fault as we did not tear open the protective layers to check the items when it was delivered..... The office gal poor thing also.. got scolded by mum. End up she asked me to email her the broken mirror picture she will try asking her boss see how.... Shouldn't have assumed it was ok since mirrors are vulnerable.....it was only protected by a piece of cardboard when it arrived. Oh well, must be mentally prepared to write off $65 in case it doesn't go well....

My washer and dryer are the same brand - Electrolux. Stacking kit is FOC...I told the salesgal I wanted to stack them and it was included in my order without charge. Actually the stacking 'kit' is just a piece of flat metal that hooks onto the bottom of the dryer. Looks like one big tray. It's the same color as the dryer, so it's not obvious in the pictures. Once they carry the dryer up and put it on top of the washer, there was a small 'click' sound and the machines are stacked together le.....looked easy...provided you got strength to lift up the machine. I bought both machines at Courts, but somehow the dryer delivery was arranged by Electrolux themselves, it came slightly earlier (abt 10 minutes) than the Courts delivery guys...the 2 groups actually met at the lift lobby, one going out, one coming in. So the guys who came later have to carry the dryer up and do the stacking lor. Smart of the Electrolux guys to come as early as they can make it. haha...

MBR glass shower screen / doors up too :

For those who are interested in the 'overall' views~ View from the main door (ignore the walnut coloured stuff. It's the shoe cabinet left behind by prior owner and my BR2 door, all stacked here as marble polishing coming up soon) : View from directly in front of the kitchen entrance :

Was up at the unit waiting for washer and dryer....and here they are :

True. As my mum says - every color also have someone who likes it. When picking colors for my kitchen counter top, my contractor told me he had customer going for Ruby color for the kitchen counter top. Fire engine red wor. Me staid type. Even my clothing is mostly neutral colors. Haha... -

Oh I see. no disclaimer on the pictures like those toy boxes 'batteries not included' ? Though why waste time drawing tiles when no tiles wor. hahaha.... Wifey's pick? Nice color, but I don't dare to go for pink cabinets....I considered briefly about purple cabinets, but my mom and sis both advise against it so I ended up going for regular woodgrain.
