  1. All your downlights are surface mount, or require false ceiling? If surface-mount, then its okay, as the cost is lower (no false ceiling required). Surface-mount downlight can also easily change light-bulb.
  2. I agree. I'm planning to buy Dyson too. My parents have been using Dyson for the past 3 years and have no complains. Furthermore, warranty is 5 years.
  3. Can't remember. Bought more than 2 months ago (this shows how long my reno is due to CNY). It was bought together with the kitchen sink so got bundle discount. It's pullout but it's not the spray type so the water pressure is not strong.
  4. Late afternoon, i went to purchase artificial grass to be placed in the foyer. Ordered 2m x 1m. but was given 2m x 1.3m at no additional cost which was a good surprised as i actually needed 2m x 1.03m. I also cut the grass myself with some guidance by the seller. Photo of it rolled up for transportation. will take photos of it once its unrolled in my foyer next saturday. stay tune then...
  5. yes, done that this evening. kitchen water drainage test done last month as posted in my previous postings. bathroom water drainage test not required because i didn't renovate my bathroom at all
  6. The main door scratches seems to be rectified. Final Painting seems okay. Not sure when the rectifications can be completed as my first batch of delivery is this coming Friday evening . horrors of horrors at this last stage. but not so bad lah as compared to others. but still haizz.....
  7. oh dear. went with my friend to take a look this evening. After the acid/chemical wash, the place is no longer dusty and the defects become even more clearer. Firstly, the living room wood tiles grouting lines Secondly, scratch at the tall kitchen cabinet door Thirdly, gap between window still and wall Fourth, the wood shelf at the MBR wardrobe: Lastly (i hope its the last), the box-up of the switches and plug in the shoe cabinet is not fastened:
  8. Finally its coming to a close (by the end of this week.) Rectifications include: - repair the main entrance door due to scratches - replace the laminated kitchen bottom cabinet door due to chipped laminate at the end I haven't got time to go down for the past 5days, over the past week or so, it was the final painting & acid-wash/cleaning (as updated by my ID without any photos). Only left is the mounting of the curtain rod at the kitchen-living room boundary.
  9. seems like really a new requirement. if you look at the bottom left of the last page of the form. it stated that its version 1 and Jan 2014. i didn't have to do it when my ID applied for renovation permit in late Dec 2013 for works to start in Jan 2014.
  10. water marks easy to wipe off from glass surface. glass wall is to prevent water from splashing into the dining area.
  11. This is the box-up inside the cabinet. There's a tiny screw on the top of the box.
  12. My carpenters helped to box-up the LED driver inside the cabinet. the box-up can be removed if need to change the driver by unscrewing the screws that fasten the box-up to the cabinet.
  13. Congratulations! It's a celebration! Finally, can rest and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
  14. The LED Strip light underneath the kitchen top cabinet but above the Eubiq. Unfortunately the carpenter mount the eubiq in such a way that the eubiq hanger cannot be used
  15. The Glass Backing in between the top and bottom kitchen cabinet was also up since yesterday. Glossy reflective Black was chosen to match the Kitchen Sink tiles.
  16. thanks for sharing i'm also looking for instant water heater. now i know which model/brand to avoid.
  17. very unique window grilles design. with limited budget, my guess is to only do the following: Flooring overlay with laminate or/and vinyl. Just only hack the skirting and not the entire floor. Overlay is cheaper than hacking the entire floor and lay tiles. Repaint all the walls No L-Box/false ceiling Change all electrical wiring (this is compulsory) Revamp the toilet Revamp the kitchen. No demolishing of walls and/or building up any false walls. No carpentry except the kitchen cabinets. If got budget, then do customized wardrobe, else buy off-the-shelf. Replace with new aircon and/or no aircon but have ceiling fans. No box-up.
