Both Prolink and Aztech links that you posted, are using existing electrical cables to form a network. It's mostly for people who do not want or could not lay CAT6 cables. Since you are renovating and changing all electrical cables, might as well also lay CAT6 cables. If you later decide to lay CAT6 cables, then there will be hassle. Do it all at one shot better.

That is right. Unlike other electrical appliances (fridge, washing machine), there's always new TV models coming out every year, with newer features, better quality, etc, thus making older models cheaper

Ikea furniture's assembly rate is 10% of the furniture's price. On top of that, delivery charges at $55 (for items' value less than $400), $60 (for items' value between $400 and $600) or $65 (for items' value more than $600), and that is only for weekdays delivery (additional $15 for weekend). On top of that, if you need wall drilling e.g. wall mounting of cabinet/mirrors, etc, it will be $4 per hole for concrete wall and $6 for tiles wall. If delivery is more than 3 days away, there's storage charge of $20 per day. So plan your purchase and budget carefully.

Got it at the end of last year when they had Christmas promotion at 15% off. A day after getting my keys. But only had it installed yesterday. It has free installation and the hyflux plumber even asked me why took so long to install. http://www.hyfluxshop.com/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?c=FG-HCPSYS-025-1&l=sg If you have hot and cold water, then have to be careful. the system cannot be connected to a hot water line as the system is not designed to withstand high temperatures. The maximum temperature of feed water tolerable is 38°C. Best a separate tap.

single sink means single-bowl sink. double sink means double-bowl sink drainer means a slope next to the sink.

Yes, the hob is too close to the sink. You need some space in-between the hob and sink so that you can use that space for food preparations. For instance, after washing vegetables and meat at the sink, you need to marinate or chop/slice the washed vegetables/meat before you cook/fry them at the hob. sink->food prep->hob if not, you have to cross the hob. But do not leave too much space between the sink and hob. if too much space, then if you need to wash the wok/pan after cooking, you need to carry them to the sink. if too near the sink, water might splash onto the hob.

Welcome to RT, 3-roomer. 82sqm is consider quite big for 3-room. So envy that you bought at a right time with only 2K COV. All the best to your reno.

hmm..what hob did you buy? When i ordered my hob i did specify that it should be for LPG and not PUB. And the hob comes with a battery.

It's Mitsubishi starmex. This is the first time having air con so I'm a newbie to this area. so many people recommend me this when I asked. When I walk pass flats, I see many Mitsubishi compressors outside, so should be okay bah. Not too sure about Panasonic. Wanted LG art cool due to design, but was advised not to as it's easier to get parts for starmex. As for improving air quality, think I will get a separate indoor air cleaner bah. And also humidifier. But maybe later, no budget yet.

They took about 70mins to complete everything: Actually i wanted the wall cabinet to be higher so that it touches the beam. But they needed some allowance space to mount it to the wall, so no choice. Anyway, the height is just nice. Not too high so as to give allowance for the ceiling fan. I asked them not to throw the boxes away but reuse them to protect the ikea furniture.

Yesterday i took half-day leave in the morning to supervise the Ikea TV console, wall cabinet and mirror installation: Mirror at the Dining Area: Looks like a bit high. Oh well, at least i can lean against the wall when seating at the dining area without hitting the mirror. But the height looks fine from the kitchen.

I also had a hard time choosing ceiling fan because too many brands out there. But to help you narrow down the correct brand/models to choose from based on the following requirements (importance from top to bottom): 1) Choose the correct size 2) Need Light or not. If need light, then LED or bulb ? 3) Budget The following are just minor factors you want to consider: 4) how many blades? (more blades, more wind) 5) DC motor or AC motor (I heard that DC motor is quieter and energy-saving but wind not strong) 6) Design / colour 7) need remote control ? 8) blade material (wood blades I heard is heavier and wind not so strong) If still can't decide even after narrowing down based on the above-mentioned requirements/factors? then try different brand/model in each room. which i did; fanco for living and kdk for mbr
