  1. Electrician can provide the cable and the port. Mine did.
  2. It depends on your noise tolerance. I haven't shift in yet. So I don't know yet. But so far what I hear is not noise
  3. Track light do provide some level of overall brightness and add ambience to the room. Furthermore, they are so much more cheaper and flexible than other lightings. You can adjust the light position too.
  4. Just inform the carpenters and electrician and give them the dimension of the eubiq. And they will know what to do.
  5. not from philips. its from one of the lighting shops at Paya Lebar area. i bought it in Jan 2014 (before CNY). The display set was the last piece so I bought the display set at 20% discount. Didn't want to order and wait for new stock as i was told the earliest new stock will arrive is March, which is too long. by the way, this light is remote controlled (so wall switch is not required) and can change from warm to cool light. It is also dimmable but i find that the dimming granularity is not good; the dimmest level is still bright.
  6. cool light at the maximum brightness: cool light at the minimum brightness (dimmed to the max):
  7. Finally, the Downlights which is tunable between warm and cool light: warm light at the maximum brightness: warm light at the minimum brightness (dimmed to the max):
  8. Ceiling Fan light which can be switch between Day/Warm/Cool light: switched to warm light: switched to day light: Cool light:
  9. It's a strip of LED that is mounted inside a hole that the carpenters will make underneath the kitchen cabinet. The electrician will then paste the LED strip into the hole and connect to the LED driver and then the LED driver is connected to the electrical wires. busy now leh. probably mid-march then renovations complete and have time.
  10. LED Ceiling Light at Study Room (forgot to test the LED strip light below the top-hung study cabinet):
  11. Last night, i went to the flat to check on whether the lightings bought and installed are working and also to confirm that they are providing sufficient light for the rooms. Laundry Area in the Kitchen: Kitchen Lightings:
  12. I should be putting up the iZen photos in my t-blog soon (by the end of today).
  13. how about using curtains as room divider?
  14. sorry for the typo mistake. it should be $60 (for items' value between $400 and $600). have corrected it. Best to check with the delivery and installation counter on the charges, they also pasted all the pricing on the counter. The ikea sales staff may not know accurately as the delivery and installation is out-sourced to another company. when you get your invoice for delivery and installation, the letterhead is not ikea, but the out-sourced company.
  15. Curtain can be expensive and higher maintenance. I prefer using Roller blinds. Cheaper and no need to remove and wash. Low maintenance and simple. Go to ikea and spotlight to take a look at curtains for better ideas. they also offer customized alteration. for me, i got the roller binds from Teng Yong also from Expo. They came down the next day to do site measurement to get the accurate quote/pricing. its based on psf. For Laundry, you can look at my blog. no idea about the difference but you also have to consider the durability of the pulley itself. i got it from TAME as the company has been around longer than most competitors. For flooring, you have to decide which you want. Vinyl or Laminate. If you can't decide, then go for both. MBR should be Vinyl since near the toilet and you might wet the floor after bathing. Then for the other bedroom, you can get Laminate.
  16. I didn't use the faucet that comes with it as my sink does not have anymore holes. The plumber tried to take the faucet away but i tactically managed to take it back. heard from my friend who is an ex-hyflux staff that one of the cartridge is made in malaysia but the other cartridge is made locally here. but can't remember which cartridge.
  17. Grey is nice. Dirt is less obvious.
  18. Laundry System (Pulley). Actually wanted to get the one using electric to move the poles up and down, and also has light. But due to the cost/budget, chose the pulley instead. Got it at the Expo furniture fair from a company that has been around longer than the other competitor. Installed yesterday: 4 poles but 2 poles have holes in them for the hangers to hook into the holes, so can hang more clothes.
