  1. Check out this link: http://www.aslpower.com.sg/store/power-tracks.html
  2. Woah, good progress , it's much faster than mine (think we started renovations around the same time).
  3. Its your personal decision. Not sure whether there will be baby/kids in the future, and maybe parents or parents-in-law may stay short-term to take care of kids. Whether you will have maid in the future? Have to consider your budget too. You may also be required to put back the wall if you sell the flat, and you have consider that cost.
  4. Depends on your floor-plan...how many rooms you really need now and also in the future.
  5. Bought these Hob/Hood today: Delizia Single Burner Hob DZAG310 Tecno TB 68 And also this ceiling fan to be installed in MBR: KDK R48SP Still have to decide 2 more ceiling fans to be purchased, each for living room and bedroom (study room)
  6. "Aircon System 3 Inverter" for a 5 room flat? Not getting System 5 or 4? And what brand/model is that? The quotation should state that.
  7. With breakdown items, you can opt to exclude certain items during the renovation phase. For example, after signing the quotation, you later changed your mind, and decide not to do the feature wall, you can remove it and that cost will be excluded (provided you inform the ID in advance before they fabricate the carpentry). Individual item breakdown also make the actual cost e.g. psf clearer and would minimize dispute. Quotation is mostly based on floor plan, but floor plan may not be accurate, as after signing, the ID would go onsite to your flat to do actual measurement.
  8. Maybe you want to find those that does not charge GST. The quotation you presented has GST....
  9. not too sure. But you can try SpotLight at Plaza Singapura?
  10. Even though Hitachi has 4-ticks, it is still not as energy efficient as Samsung. Samsung is 450kWh for 402L Hitachi is 423kWh for 294L Samsung capacity is about 108L more than Hitachi, but the consumption is only 27kWh more than Hitachi
  11. Some minor changes: 1) laminate flooring skirting will all be Ash White 2) no more stucco wall. but thinking of having water feature and artificial grass at the foyer instead. Anyone got suggestions on where to get that?
  12. Nice. Very therapeutic to walk thru forest at the end of the day after work. High floor too. Near police station. Should be safe.
  13. Went to GC at Changi Point today to purchase the following: http://www.lg.com/sg/refrigerators/lg-GR-M562GSH/technical-specifications Actually i wanted a bottom freezer, especially the only Samsung bottom freezer Bottom Freezer, RL4013UBASL due to the easy to access vegetable/fruits drawer. But then the salesman pointed out that the LG fridge is real stainless steel external and that bottom freezer may have condensation issue, it made me rethink, and since the LG fridge is at least $250 cheaper than the Samsung's, so i decided on this LG top-freezer fridge. Furthermore, it has free gift (branded chinese wok + 2 cooking utensils) http://www.lg.com/sg/washing-machines/lg-WD-1486ADP3 It was a toss-up between Samsung and LG. LG prevail due to the direct-drive which is less nosier and since its belt-less it should have lesser wear-and-tear. Separate washer and dryer machine might have its benefits (able to stack on top of each other to save space, etc). But due to budget constraint and also to save even more space, a washer/dryer was selected. 8kg washer and 4 kg dryer should be sufficient for a single or a small family or couple. Oh well, its slightly less than $1K. so decision made... http://www.lg.com/sg/microwave-ovens/lg-MJ3283BC-lightwave-oven Can microwave, conventional oven, steam and even grill. And World’s 1st Charcoal Lighting Heater. and its PWP offer price (off about $200 from the usual price). So decision made. looks nice too. and easy to use due to the turning knob. Anything bigger, then i would have to get the build-in oven. But since no need so big, this size/volume should be sufficient.
  14. Due to the aircon trunking that goes around one side of the beam, box up was done on both side of the beam (To be symmetric, the other side of the beam was box-up.) One side of the door frames was covered up as a result)
  15. Not much updates due to CNY. But over the past 2 days, they have done up the L-box in the living room, and also box-up the water pipe leading into the kitchen from the living room.
  16. Welcome to RT, 3-roomer!
  17. A wise decision made. Thank you for sharing your experience so that others would learn to avoid companies that require a deposit before a quotation can be made. We should only sign and make deposit based on the quotation and NOT 3D drawings
  18. Laminate flooring is cheaper than homogenous tiles. The cost is per sq foot. As for tiles, not only the cost of the tiles but also you have to factor in the labour cost of laying the tiles. For instance, my tiles is $4 psf but my laminate is $5 psf. But the overall cost of laying the tiles in my living room is more than all my bedrooms (even though the psf, all my bedrooms combined are larger than my living room). It depends on your requirements. Living room can be tiles and bedrooms can be laminate or vice versa. You can also consider vinyl. I prefer laminate as my concept is wood and it doesn't have the cold feeling as compared to tiles.
  19. Nice drawings. I wish I can draw like that.
  20. Renovation works will resume after 1 week. It will be installation of L-box in the Living Room area. Time to take my mind off renovation for awhile. Readers, have a blessed Lunar New Year. May health and prosperity come running (galloping) after you in the new year.
  21. Turned OFF the tap and the water was drained in 7 mins (not obvious in the photo, as the water level has gone down and the kitchen floor is merely wet)
  22. But the water only reaches the kitchen sink even though the tap has been turned ON for 11 mins continuously. And water height is not more than 2-3cm
