  1. Kitchen Work-in-progress. Cement Tiles, cabinet and subway tiles (3D)
  2. House is almost done now.. Lets talk about carpentry.. Making snail's progress but its moving along week by week... Display Cabinet before install doors and glass... Pretty handsome without doors as some sections "pops out".. No more poping out after finish.. ID chose laminate that is matching the flooring... Wondering if it is a coincidence Sleeping area door connecting wardrobe room Wardrobe carcass. Its double thickness for the frame which is good if want to put luggages on top. Full Length Wardrobe Concealed mirror with concealed storage behind the mirror
  3. Hello! I brought 2 of the 1m birdie lighting too! How is the brightness of the lights? Now I'm worried its too short for my 3m*4m wardrobe
  4. Sneak peek of the kitchen cabinets and flooring Kitchen cabinet door And barn.yard.door. Track
  5. The king bed is going to take over that space. It's a 'feature' wall in the MBR wifey requested. The remaining walls are space grey. Good color selection by ID and luckily the "4week delay vinyl" matches well. Bedroom 3 vinyl: eclectic room aka "just throw in all the ideas we like and don't care if it matches" room This vinyl looks the best in the Hafary showroom but turns out opposite among the three The vinyl that looks not the most bland vs the other 2 in the showroom? Turns out great Fits the "Scandinavia" theme well. Scandinavia theme is in quotes now because so much as changed from the design brief!
  6. Wow.. Thanks kew for taking time to upload the pic too! Really worried about my tiles now. Finally my Reno started moving!! *claps. Here is the cause of another 4weeks delay
  7. Nice hipvan decals Goes well with the clock!
  8. Hello! Good progress with the 3D! Color looks abit blend. It's leaning more towards modern instead of your reference pics. For the display cabinet, How about doing without the glass shelvings and introduce wooden shelvings instead. The inside laminate should be wood grain to enhance the tone. That way can build glass door to reduce dust. If you really don't need the cove lighting, can consider to use white track lights (but may have dust) like your reference. If need concealed speakers maybe just false ceiling + down lights?
  9. Wish i could say the same :s Reno since may All the best for your Reno wish you all the best!!
  10. Okay. Glad that it withstood the water well. But corrode due to the acidic air con water I believe. Essentially our cement tile have a fair bit of Limestone (CaCO3)CaCO3 + H+ --> CaO + H2O + CO2 Maybe can try sanding it off and divert the water pipe directly to a drain? Weird that the ID never plan for you :s
  11. Yap I like how you used them in your bathroom too! That also contributed to my decision to use these tiles. Did you see any fading of your tiles? How about the water resistance of the tiles? My kitchen tiles I am abit worried if they will fade due to the exposed sunlight as we hack the service yard wall. Well... I hope they aged well as I like the uneven colour tone and handmade aspect of it. We have them in our bath room too Would not have done for my bathroom as we only found out about the high maintenance after we got the tiles! Our ID didnt tell us, until my dad saw the tiles! Anyway, my dad who did the tiles applied 2 coats of sealant until the tiles cant absorb the sealant. Will apply 3rd coat after reno...
  12. Chose the bottom left design.. 1st mock up looks good! Actual.. The original colour is better but this design is much better Here is the cause of a 2months delay..
  13. Yap.. Was so upset at the time. In addition, just realized the tiles is very hard to maintain as it is very porous and handmade.. and the tiles is much more expensive than previously ID said it was about $4psf during tile selection. Its $4per 20cm*20cm tile = $9psf when we went to buy Did a mock up by powerpoint this time to prevent any disappointment.
  14. Thanks, we waited for these tiles for 1month!! The tiles are at the port now.. Hope it will be installed without issues next week!! We chose this tile but there designer did not know that these kind of tiles they usually don't stock so much. So we plan to custom make a same one. (But need to wait 2 months and expensive!) And, the colour will be different cos it will be from another company. e find that the pattern is not what we really love. 1st Mock up We chose this as the base design And this as the base colour And it is really ... wrong... My computer mock up Designer said.. Okay...... can IF you really like it. The tile owner gave us one last chance for another mock up. To be continued.....
  15. Tiles Selection! Vinyl Selection from Hafary (from my own contact) No Stock! Vinyl Selection 2 from Hafary No Stock! Cement tiles from designer recommendation No Stock! Cement tiles max quantity per design usually never stock >100sq feet. We need ~500sq feet Hahaha next up will be the cement tile re-design!
  16. Omg. Look at the date of my first post. Hahaha. Anyway, just partially my ID issue and partly my own side issue for the delay. Ok! No words. Just pictures. New Drawings Barn.Yard.Door Tiniest.Kitchen.Island in a 4-room BTO START WORK!!
  17. Hi fellow 3d conceptwerke scandi home! Good luck with the reno The 3d looks good! My opinion: Go with the grey, or maybe you can consider just the main wall grey. My ID mentioned that bedroom should be calm and work area should be bright which I think make sense. I know the 3d not suppose be accurate with dimensions and technicalities but do look out for these If the oven flush with the table top, the microwave might be too high? at around 1.5m height. The stove too close to the fridge, so cannot put big wok The bedroom hanging side table lights cannot conceal the trunking by right unless have false ceiling The wardrobe left door can open? No ceiling fan for living room? And just want to check if the "recessed" cabinet design can be done as the 3d? The max I have bargained and have gotten wood trimmings only.. Hahaha..
  18. Even though I see so many HDB photos before, I just want to say: Wah, your units looks big
  19. 0.o really!?! Your ID is kinda like her boss maybe that's where the influence comes from.. The detailing yes, their new office is full of detailing which is looks awesome! I'm sure it will take off as it carries off the French look very well.. How's has your color scheme changed? I'm sure your house is looking great now On a side note, anyone have island hood to recommend? Any sale ongoing?
  20. Do PM me! I'm not sure if I did sent you anything.. Its ~3k for a 5-6ft door (1.6m) Door is about 2.4k and tracks is ~900... Very Ex Yes... Anyway sharing 2 of my 3D drawings. Its disappointing but considering its a rush job(1week+), we can still accept BUT must amend. Anyway, all things on hold until we are confident to proceed Believe rest of the works will be fast and planning TAKES TIME! Arrgggg... Hahaha.. Tiles and cabinetry seems to clash... ID very keen to do something different We like both the tile and the cabinet but the combination seems to clash.. Note: 2 ugly pipes on the right wall (and the left)Washing machine will be on the wall on the right too!All the applicance (except hood and tap) is wrongGray lines suppose to represent capentry detailing?ID wanted buttons to be blackI have sent them a spreadsheet on the appliance we might buy and ID say can put in to make the 3D accurate... But I guess 'Can' and 'will' is very different? Barnyard Door should be double the length! Its like a feature wall/divider.. (might as well make the best use of it since it cost a bomb right?Table tone too darkLights positioning is wrongBusinessy chair and painting... (not our style)Anyway, by now I am sure renotalkers surely can spot the WERID layout right? Hahaha 60%ID idea's and 40% ours..Please dont me! Took us 2-3months to go thru the PROs and CONs.. My Pics are uploaded with Flickr. Instructions: 1. Set up account and upload pics (aka facebook) 2. After upload complete, click on the picture 3. 21. Emailed sent. But do note as an indicative price only. Not considering workmanship, negotiation etc etc Sharing of the day... All the "Dining Room Items". Doing something bold here. Diving up the micro living room into "dining area" and "Living area" via the barndoor... Firstly dining area concept pics; Barn door should be using Rima Ramshackle laminate: Hopefully close to the below? Raw wood finished dining table with cabinet Paint (Ash Grey) Cement Tiles (Snowflke tiles) Our theme is not so scandi anymore. Its kind of eclectic mix(good or bad?). I am worried but excited... 3D hopefully next week! Ridiculous kitchen layout next post!
  22. I agree with the MBR internal laminates. It just make the carpentry seem more high quality even if its not really the case. Even for PVC choice there are good grades and lousy ones. Maybe try to ask for better one at same price? About the service yard, I have 4 pipes there Am hacking my service yard divider! Haha Praying it turns out NOT TOO bad :S
