Thanks for recommending Mr Foo, Rakieno. You are right. Based on your recommendation, I got him to repair my son's non-functioning WC just now. After a quick check, the cause was found. The tap to the WC was off resulting in it not being able to fill up. By turning the water supply to my son's WC on, the problem was solved. He did not ask me to pay. That surprised me. I felt bad. So I asked him to change the pump (syphon) since it gave problem from time to time. He was experienced and professional. He did a quick check again and concluded that it was still working. He advised me to change only when the pump is faulty or no longer functioning. In the end, I actually paid him nothing. I was impressed by his honesty and fairness to the customer. Other plumbers would happily accept the job and charge it to me. This is the first time I encounter such an honest plumber. It really surprised me. Forget about Uncle Johnny who seems to be a mysterious, uncontactable plumber. Mr Foo (HP: 96315352) deserves strong recommendation. Look for him when you need plumbing services. I will definitely get him as and when I need plumbing service. Mrs Chai 29 Mar 2014 P/S: I understand that if there is no repairs, a fee of $10 would be charged for transport. In my case, it was waived and I was surprised. However if there is repair, the $10 transport fee will be waivered.

My experienced, helpful and reliable electrician: Ah Lun: 9784xxxx to share with those who need a cheap and good electrician. He changed 4 different type of switches for me not too long ago. Charges really reasonble: $40 for initial change of electric socket or power-point and $20 for each subsequent change. No cut-throat prices. He has customers' needs at heart. He gave good advice. I was a satisfied customer. Mrs Chai On 24 Feb 2014, I used Ah Lun again to repair my fan with light. This fan with light has a lifetime warranty for the fan motor. A check with the service centre of the company that sells this fan, I was told transport is $25 and labour cost to check what is wrong is $15. Replacement of faulty part would be an add-on which could be $80 (minimum). Upfront, just having a look without repair, I would have to pay $40. When I got Ah Lun, he checked and found it was the faulty wire to my fan that was causing the problem. He charged me *$20 for the job. It was a right decision to get him instead. A word of advice .... It's always good to agree on the cost of the repair jobs on the phone first before the actual work. This would avoid price disputes later. Mrs Chai

For change of 1 heater switch, 1 power-point, 1 single-gang switch and 1 four-gang switch, I paid only $100. Overall, I am happy with his reliable service and a job well done to make this effort to join Renotalk and share my experience .
