This is the display cum bar cabinet that we are quite excited about. The charcoal coloured center will be left open and it will house things like our coffee machine, wine bottles and well as wine glasses. We will also be able to mix and prepare some simple cocktail drinks here. As you can see, we did away with internal laminates cos (1) they are expensive and (2) we don't want to bust our budget too much. For something which eventually will have doors, I think it's something we can live with. Yes! Bathroom doors are up - nice frosted glass panels with a black powder coated alum frame. It is the same for the MBR toilet. Vicx1234! I am so happy to see ur Reno progress....guess we are really at the same stage! We are getting the same blinds and got the same bathroom doors are urs too. Wasted I overlooked at ordering the blinds earlier so have to wait for cny over then the blinds will be up, sigh... Love ur display/bar counter....can't wait to see the finish product with the coffee machine and win glasses...love ur style for ur deco! Thumbs up

Super love this kitchen pipe that I bought...can't wait to see it attached to the sink! ☺ Door is up for the closing to the store room behind my living room feature wall.notice the extra storage under the stairs? It can be access from the storeroom inside...so is cleaner finishing This is another part of the house that I am super in love with...the balcony! Every penny spent on the bi-fold door is totally worth it....I have a bigger opening from living to balcony making to look more spacious. Balcony lantern lights are up too. Tomorrow will go check out the house again, hopefully we could see more complete finishing of the entire place

And my favourite part - the most useful rail ever! Hi Chocobanana, I have been look for this kinda rail too. Can share where you got it? Eminlove -
Harriette, You raised a good point, i really hate those unsightly Internet devices and messy wires! Our current rented place really drove me nuts seeing the wires & extension cords laying around coz we are not allowed to drill stuff into the wall. We figured out to place most of the devices at the the storage room directly behind our TV console since we did not do a build in shelvings in the living room. Hopefully that could eliminates some of the messy wires Eminlove

Hey Alfredt & vicx1234, Yes we had cat6 point all over the house even in kitchen too! For EM definitely need it for bedrooms upstairs too cox we are worry the network will not be too powerful enough to go through the concrete wall. As for the cost I think we might over paid a lil more because we go through an ID's contact, but is for the convenient so we just use this guy. So far his work is good, he fixed everything just the way we wanted and quite tidy I must say. Below is his quote for your reference: And Vicx1234, if you haven't do ur wiring yet...suggest you start planning now from the floor plan. We were exhausted that day just trying to figure out where to fix the electric point! Too much decision to make in one day cox we don't want to have missing point when we move in...and I thought ID suppose to propose the "ideal" electric points for us prior to the meeting to save some time. Unfortunately she did not...maybe too high expectation on our end. Hmmm... Also, 1 sad thing due to rewiring the whole house...our existing open net is no longer useable and now need to redo again when we move in. Sigh...good to know Singtel has free open net installation. Perhaps is time to consider switching telco. Heh

Really ah?oh dear.my WIW not ventilated I just cut out a part of my bedroom to make WIW and only one opening which is the entrance! Ok la...don't rush the work so they can do properly. I think that is very important.

Thanks vicx1234, Ya I was concern for awhile so decided to ask my carpenter. Apparently my space is too small so also can't do glass cover for my WIW. Luckily the WIW is away from bathroom so it helps a lil...so lets see what happens in a couple years time Will u make it to move in before CNY? We are ur rushing for that deadline. ID said delivery by 27/1, so my fam said deliver all items on 28/1...then 4/2 only officially move in coz that date is good for us. Thx for sharing how to add signature

Hahaha thanks! Ya I am getting a bit impatient at this stage Liao, cox I wanna see the end result soon. Getting really really excited as everything starting to take place. Just saw your work, looking pretty awesome yrself! Love ur WIW though people kept saying the open WIW, clothes will turn yellow wor. Not sure how true is this...mine also same setup as yours, no door for wardrobe too. Btw how do you add your forum link and contract details to your post huh?

Laminates are in.. Dark colonial oak color Bedrooms are done too. Super like the dark laminate vs dark frame window Master bath room. Due to space really small we got no choice but to have sliding door this way to open up the space

Ya,...do let me know ya, I would be interested to know if got any diff also. This morning just scolded Meyer coz they called me up saying that my Oven, Hood and Hob need to wait till Feb to deliver which they actually promised me to deliver in Jan. After much scolding, they miracurously "found" all 3 items to send by tomorrow. Aiyo i think my reno is slowly setting in, started to get a bit cold feet and paranoid....cham

My contractor contacts insisted it is ok and that is not foam is Alum Foil underlay...urmmmm But I checked the progress, they already started overlay the laminates liao I think is too late for this round. But i will keep this in mind for my next round when I change laminate. Thanks for the info Claypot!

Hi all... As my Reno about to completion I am getting quite panic cox my curtains not bought yet! Anyone knows where can I get such blind? Appreciate all your contacts you can share! TqTq

So I asked my contractor who asked the supplier for laminate and his reply was : "Fm supplier: if the floor is cement floor than use rubber. If with tiles flooring we use aluminum foil underlay... tell them foam de is the most cheapo type use by china board. Use to wrap furniture de. We use the Aluminum foil de is better than the 1mm foam underlay use by china board. I dont have that... lolz Most important explain to them rubber de is needed more if floor very uneven. But your jurong site ok floor swee swee..." Lolx.... So I guess in summary we are using aluminum foil which suppose to be better than foam that seems to be ok for our good condition tiles
-
Hi All, We are thinking of using blinds instead of curtains. Anyone has any blinds supplier to recommend? Thank you so much in advance! Eminlove
-
Hi Claypot, Rubberized underlay is better? R

Wow, simplehuman....I am sorry to hear that you are facing so much trouble with your Reno. Honestly you have too much patience. I would have scream and asked him to change entire thing back to Groche at their cost. The item you bought is not cheap, why should you compromise on poor service for your home? If the connector does not fit nicely, in long run you will have more problem ler -
