You can try going back to Chelsea Lighting for your fans, they carry some too... hahaha we bought all our lights and our fan at Chelsea. Really love how your house is turning out. We told Steven he should ask you to let him take pictures of your place so that he can use it to show his potential customer. Awesome looking

a relative who had been following a fengshui master for years came to my house last week. he commented that the curving walkway to my living room and to the bedrooms represent having "naughty" kids next time. at first thought ok la, kids naughty = lively mah. but his expression seems to mean that its not those simple type of naughty, could mean rebellious kind of naughty. that time steven mentioned that he will flatten the curving part at no extra cost but my hubby thought curve will be better in terms of fengshui. now that our renovation has completed, don't know if steven will charge us if we ask him to flatten it for us. so scared to ask him also... this is one of the curving walkway

my walkway entrance to the bedrooms and to the living have round curve at the top edge (see picture below). i was told that the curving part represent having "naughty" kids. can anyone advise if this is true? not sure what the "naughty" means. i presume it could be rebellious kind of naughty.

Friday 2nd of May Fridge came Bed came Mattress came Washing machine came Dining table and display cabinet came Super duper backache and sore arms and thighs came also... from all the washing and cleaning and wiping and moping of the house. Didnt know there was so much dust. This after Steven had already got his guys to clean our place 2-3 times before the handover. Where did all that dust come from ITS A LOT OF WORK!!! I even made my FH wash and clean all the left over tiles that are not in the boxes He was running around the balcony with pail and sponge washing them in the afternoon sun. We have afternoon sun at the balcony, so it must have been hot. Good thing was with the afternoon sun, everything dried up very fast Now got to figure out what to do with all those tiles. Thats the problem with choosing a variety of tiles for the house, end up with a lot of leftovers. A bit from each adds up to a lot. Last minutre Wihardja called to say they had no stock of the tv console we bought, so had to indent. Sigh another 60 days wait for it. Hopefully it comes together with the sofa day bed. Our dining table from Wihardja couldn't fit through the door way, in the end they had to dismantle the legs. Good thing they could dismantle it. According to the delivery guys, previous models could not be dismantled and they had to return it. Sigh hope the day bed dont have this problem. Oh yeah the fridge delivery man saw the way our built in oven was placed next to the fridge, he told us we need to open vent holes else the heat will spoil the oven. We showed him the vent hole Steven drilled for us , opening into the same space the fridge went into, the guy say his might spoil the fridge, he said we should have open it the other side and put a computer fan there to suck out the hot air. Something about the hot air spoiling the electronic components . Guess we have to drill the holes ourself next time. Those of you who have the same design for oven and fridge, might wanna take note of this. Bought those furry furry stickers you can stick to the bottom of the tables and chairs. Wonderful stuff, now we can easily move our furniture around cause its so smooth and it wont scratch the tiles Pictures next time...now just too tired

What kind of light are you getting for the toilets? Yeah I think you are right, if your toilet is brighter the effect would be very good Sigh....really nice tiles too bad we didnt get them
-
just realised my MBR is painted with mocha delight!!! you might want to use that as a reference on the brightness during day time and before carpentry was up night time
-
Your black and white tiles are very nice!!! We saw the same tiles but didnt choose them cause of the price if I recall. The rain shower thing, last time when my FH was doing research, he said for low pressure (high floor in old blocks) need to get those without reservoir otherwise its not a rain shower its a trickle shower. Err sotong is got reservoir or no reservoir? Cause last time we only look the round round one.I only know fat one is got reservoir , thin thin one is no reservoir. Also must see if your water heater is tank or instant they say got effect on the rain shower

Very nice!!!

Yahoo!!! Handover completed!!! Got one more set of keys to carry around Time to grade to ID and his crew Painter 7/10 : In general was good but small details like bits of tape or sticker on the wall they didnt scrap off for us before painting. Also that big air bubble which they eventually removed and painted over nicely truth to speak Carpenter 8.5/10 : Good good.Quite please with our cabinets. Only downside was the laminates 1 piece out of all was yellowish and they had to dismantle the door and changed it, though not their fault cause laminate from another supplier but still its part of carpentry . Anyway my FH like the MBR wardrobe so much he decided to make the bookcase Tiler 9/10 : Very good. Even and very small grout lines. Saturday tell us suppose to work halfday, 6pm still working Window/Grilles 8/10 : No complaints. The patch up of the walls after they put in the windows was quite well done, evenly patched. Didnt leave any debries like small stones or bits of plaster in the track after installation, so i guess they clean up Cleaner 8/10 : No complaints. They even clean the old grilles and windows we did not changed. Especially our toilet windows waah really clean till shiny Plumber 7/10 : Okay but when drilling mounting hold he cracked 1 of our tiles so give him lower rating Electrician 7/10 : Okay also but he forgot 1 socket!!!! in the end had to lay the trunking outside cause the cornice already put in. Otherwise was good And the main person, the ID Steven 9/10 : Very satisfied with his service. He is very thorough in his checking, sticks to the schedule very well, suggestions given were good also, response to our questions and request was prompt and speedy, attention to detail was good, very regular and frequent in his updates on the progress to us. We felt so comfortable with his work and him and Max, we made our last payment yesterday when he handed over the keys when the norm would be to hold it a while to check the place to make sure its all okay. Oh yeah after reading the Ho Bee thread, i think I should highlight it here also. The quote we got HAD NO HIDDEN COST. We paid the exact same amount that was given to us on the quote we sign plus the additional cost for 1 or 2 sockets which we requested for after we sign the quote. -
Brought my parents and siblings to view our unit yesterday. They have their own houses and also been through their own renovation. They pointed out a lot of the little things that Steven did for us which we never noticed ourselves Things like little studs on the cabinet so that the doors wont slam into the cabinet. We thought it was a norm but my brother said for him he had to put it himself The magnetic door stopper, my FH and I thought Steven just painted it over but actually he gave us new ones FOC!! (we checked with him) Shower door he put a little stud on the wall so that wont slam against the wall and quite a few other little things a touches we took for granted that was the norm all ID/contractor would do but was pointed out to us that usually they dont or its chargeable.

Just saw your table, NICE!!! Quite similar to ours . But yours look like its extendable . Is that right? Cause the center portion seems like a flip out section

Yesterday went to wihardja warehouse sale at ubi. We were one day late as sales started on 25th apr (fri) and the salesperson told us a lot of stuff have been wiped out on the first day liao. we were like Nevertheless, we still managed to get our sofa, coffee table, tv console, dining set, filing cabinet and a side console for fishtank. Total damage: 2.4k Now my FH heartache liao Payment was a hassle for us as it has to be made in full, even though the sofa we need to wait about 2 months for stock arrival. And no acceptance of credit card, only Nets or cash. My FH tried to pay by Nets and it hits the withdrawal limit!!! End up we had to ask the cashier to hold our purchase and we drove around ubi to search for ATM machine. These are our "hard-earned" purchase Daybed as sofa and coffee table(will be in darker shade) Dining table but a different type of chair (will be in darker shade) Can't find the pics of other purchase from wihardja website, so cannot post yet.

How did you get permission from HDB to replace your sewerage pipes? We were told that we cannot replace the sewerage pipes as they are connected from top to bottom of the block. We could only ask our contractor to paint it so it looks nicer Did you have to apply for permit ? -

Called Cuizino yesterday and today they set up an appt for their technician to come down The technician come down, turn on and off all the gas burner without any problems When we try again we cant kep the flame lit Until he told us the trick, you need to press the knob down ALL THE WAY then turn it . If half way or release it half way, then flame wont stay lit Anyways now problem solved, and superb service from aspgroup

Best price we got was Tai Sing. When we 1st asked was $689. But 1+ month later $699 The others GAB, Hong Liang, Aik Leong were all $700+. We never asked from Everjoint though
-
Yup. You contractor is correct. Anything that deals with the gas your contractor cannot touch. Lay gas pipe, gas connection, final connection, water heater connection etc etc has to be arranged via CityGas for their contractor to do My colleague using Cuizino also has this problem . But in his case its only 1 burner while mine is all 3
