Hi Lightshawn, I just got keys to my new apartment and am contemplating the above. My ceiling is already done up with lighting points, so one quick way for me is to just some buy lights & curtains and I can move in. But I have been reading the Philips lighting website and got quite interested in this combination, to create layers of lighting. Also, a slight problem is that the lighting points provided assume a certain furniture configuration, which I can't follow because I have a piano and an extendable dining table, so my dining room light won't be exactly directly above my dining table. I chanced upon this forum page where someone asked if this combination is weird and your reply. May I know why it affects the wind please? I have two other questions: 1) what is the minimum thickness for cove lighting, and the width? From the above picture, it looks like it will shorten the ceiling a fair bit, as well as made the ceiling look smaller instead of bigger. 2) my apartment comes with Schneider NEO-X dimmer which is not compatible with Philips LED lighting. The lighting shop said I would have to replace with Philips dimmer, but Schneider said that their dimmer can be converted by an electrician. Would it work with conversion? Would appreciate your kind advice pls.
