A lesson learnt indeed and that was really pathetic. I think she had taken you for a ride and there is nothing you can do about it. If it is not too late, you should confront her about it.

Any issues or comments from electricians when installing these?

It is very common not to follow fully or implement some of the thing he advise as long as one is ok with it. I guess the uneasiness lingers on eventually. What you mentioned are true, some even request some door to be tilted to a certain angles, certain light to be on 24/7. Some even mentioned not to sleep in the MBR as well.

Bring the specs for the items to the shop and sales can advice. Am currently not too sure about what transformer to use as well.

Jiawen, I think the kitchen should have 2 lights.

It is a nice and warm colour, giving a pretty cosy feel, right? For us, master bath likely keep it dry, more like the wife's make up area. Big, small, shower likely in the common bath till more members in the family. Dont quite fancy the "fragrance" from big biz lingering in the MBR. Also moisture from shower may pose a problem. So gonna do up a little on both bath with a decent vaintiy top and some shelving if possible.

Anything from the US will have voltage issue but can be solve with a transformer costing $20 from self fix stores. All you need to know what transformer to buy, else shop can also advice you. Though sounds like inconvenience but the savings is tremendous. Off the site of Courts etc, this model is going for SGD899. And now from Amazon with free shipping, going for less than SGD$260. So it is definitely worth it.

What do you mean buy minimum charge? You meant future bills? Yes, gas can be used for dryer as well. Visit the Citygas web site for more details, there are difference gas heater there available. Currently they are on promotion bundle in with one dryer but only 1 and only 1 model of dryer. I choose the largest capacity Ferroli Prima FE10 model for the bigger capacity to cater for rain shower. Remember, you have to call City Gas to shut off your gas supply prior to reno work, else anything happen, liability is your. Cost is $60, I think. If you are keen to install, call City Gas, tell them the model you want and inform them that your ID will call back to settle date of installation. Of cos provided your ID is willing to do it for he will know best how the piping to be run for both gas and water due to carpentry etc.

Our Resort Style Home 5-Room Jurong West
OceanEleven replied to asychanbaby's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
Yes, 65x series, I saw one unit exactly the same except for an additional curve balcony. Very challenging layout. Thought the floor plan looks to separate out living and dining area but making it very difficult to have a proper living orientation. You have only 1 wall to play with but with the sofa's position is left in the open dangling. Kitchen can go for open concept but space allowed is left much to be desire as well. Then and again, the unit I saw was done up tastefully though.- 110 replies

Direct Taobao credit card seems to add some additional surcharge to the amount. Had not really look deep enough into it, once see the add up, I shunt it. Dont know anything about Alipay Credit card as I did not explore this option. Again the exchange rates must be unfavorable. You are right to say if purchasing expansive items, pay Amcon RMB50 per link is more worth it, provided the exchange rate from them is better comparing to Alipay and Credit Cards. If rates are the same, then you are simply paying RMB50 for same item. Rates wise have to check with them. If dealing with lemon purchase via Amcon, imagine this way, if you approach seller and seller ask you to produce transaction details/code/number, you have to go back to Amcon. Seller may not entertain you and Amcon may just try to help, but with no guarantee as well. You purchase, ball is in your hand, you decide and you dictate.

Yamaha YAS 201 With Wireless Subwoofer Couldn't resist a good bargain so just placed the order. Did a quick review and this model is pretty well received. A sound bar is a sound bar, am not a audiophile but this sound bar does has a function that caters to aging ears. The Clear Voice. One good thing about sound bar is that they are neater. Gone with the 6s, 7s, 8s speakers configuration where concealing wiring is a pain. Then and again, not for the audiophiles. Sound bar with wireless active subwoofer delivers superior surround sound from TV and Blu-ray sourcesSubwoofer uses Yamaha Advanced YST II technology to reproduce deep bass with clarity and powerAIR SURROUND XTREME reproduces 7.1 channel surround sound with excellent imaging and rich presenceClear Voice makes dialogue and narrations easy to hearUniVolume™ keeps programs and commercials at the same volume levelStylish design achieves visual beauty as well as ease of useGlossy black finish matches flat-screen TVsLatest design features extremely low height, for convenient positioning in front of a TV setWireless active subwoofer allows flexible placementUsing the YIT-W12 (optional accessory), you can also enjoy music wirelessly from an iPod®/iPhone®/iPad® or computerTV Remote Repeater forwards infrared signals even if obstructedLearning function enables operation from the TV remote controlSound bar can also be hung on a wall

You can ask Foo but provided he can have the permission of the owner, it is a done project. Also if he has the time and you too. Location is in Punggol area, maybe a little far for some though. Yes, there will be skirting. To me it is in a dark, dark brown almost black color, kinda contrast if you ask me. I find them looking pretty good, it outlines the area. Again, proposed by Foo.

I find the color nice. This was proposed by Foo as well. Initially choose a much lighter tone, then the joining line are much more obvious. This is the credit of Foo again, he brought us to see one of his project who used the colour we wanted to show if we can accept the lines.

This is correct but can be compensated by carpentry covering the piping. Especially in HDB, normally the gas heater are located in the kitchen or service yard area where most piping will be covered by kitchen cabinets.

Ermm, that's a tough one. Let me check and come back to you. Got it. It is Cumberlan VC1316.

Still an electrical heater so not considering. Point is, electrical cost is higher compare to gas. Also the usage is low. Currently using a Rinnai gas heater, serve me well over 10 years so the experience and confidence is there.

Thanks for the compliment. Gas Heater mainly because of long term saving. Some say electric heater with storage may aid in water pressure issues though. Electric storage takes up space and not that aesthetically pleasant. Usage at my place mainly one pax. I still prefer the cold run.

Too many brands to choose from. Kinda confuse what to get as well. Self cleaning is no doubt enticing but hefty price tag is discouraging.
