If bulky items, definitely cheaper. RMB550 pr meter cube plus documentation fees. Buy on behalf is per line RMB50 I think.

I did not do any reinstatement. Pole system or not only make the wardrobe easier to remove or replace. Pole system look nice when bare, but I find the shelving not practical as they do not have backing and sides. Also more prone to collect dust over time. If one build doors, the doors are a killer. The main issue is that you are hacking the walls away. Any reinstatement will affect the flooring as well as the walls. The pain and agony to go thru in later years is not worth the effort in my opinion. If you ask me do I regret, I would say yes. I should have simply use the room as a wardrobe space and not hacking to combine the rooms.

Actually I think there is a chance for the things to arrive in time if you purchase now. All your items are almost towards the end of the reno, So even after CNY should be also fine. Go by Amcon for volume since you have chairs.

Your contractors are not wrong, your requests are a little far fetch and will come with compromise. First, if you squeeze in a WIW in the MBR, you have to do with a super single bed. Queen size may be too congested. Layout wise, have to brain storm a bit, but WIW will also be small and not as expected. Second, if you really want a bathtub, then you have to relocate toilet door to the other side. Seal up the existing door and this space created can be use for a tub. Then again, you may have to settle for a small tub say 1.2m in length. Third, I believe it can be done, just a matter of how much is the depth of the shelves as well as when it comes with doors. Fourth, an open concept kitchen must "open" to some where. In all HDB cases, will be the living/dining area. In your case, couldnt be open to the corridor right???

Keep the existing system, do the chemical wash and renew the piping. I find the overhaul kind of pricey. Imagine new system with piping is $3k plus but overhaul is half that price. For a good night sleep, bite the bullet and change new.

I will not consider to hack one of the room into WIW. Been there, done that. It will be a hassle to sell the unit later and reduce living space significantly. If the plan is to have only kid then you are left with the mini study room as guest room. Unless A , B and C are ok to live in one room in years to come.

Been using a gas heater for the pass decade, serving me well but of cos only using hand shower. Have no experience with rain shower. As for heating, we dont shower with water at 60 degC, even 40 degC would be be quite hot for most to bear with. The piping OD for the rain and hand shower looks the same, delivery of water should be just fine. Rain shower is the key we are eyeing, not so much about the hot/cold warm.

Ok understood. For me,storage is very important due to all the little appliances, pots & pans, groceries etc. I will be keeping my wall tiles, hacking the floor only, doing top & bottom cabinets, running along the full length of the kitchen. Concealing the exposed walls with glass back splash. Cost of hack and re tiling goes into the carpentry. I dont see the point to hack the wall, re tile and only to be covered by cabinets.

Then again, all in one really saves a fair bit of space if compare to 2 or even 3 appliances. The Hitachi fridges looks pretty good. Volume is pretty big as well - 550L Personally I prefer the Stainless Steel or matt steel look like LG. Volume about the same, not as wide and price easier on the pocket by perhaps a few hundreds.

You can try not hacking the whole kitchen wall, keep it and hack only the floor. Use the cost save from the hacking and place it into the top cabinets. The wall space between top and bottom cabinets cover it with a glass back splash. If you work out the sums, the hacking and re-tiling will be a few thousands for a kitchen of your size. The hassle of getting top cabinets later is not worth the cost save now.

Fridge - http://www.panasonic.com/sg/consumer/home-appliance/fridges/2-door/nr-by602.html 2 doors and big enough to fill many things. Too many doors actually reduce the storage capacity. Freezer compartment at the bottom which is good as we seldom open the freezer. So when we grab a drink or other stuff, dont have to bend down to look for it. Aircon - Was recommended Mitsubishi Starmex and also been using it. Aircon service man commented parts are robust and compressor pretty solid compared to other brands. Actually given the size and layout of your house, you should consider to have 2 systems and not a system 4.

Judging from the photo, you need a total revamp.

Amazing transformation! I still remember the day I step in your place, chaos is an understatement. Congrats on the moving in. Finally settling in and preparing for new members in the family!

The shop at IMM (2nd floor cant rem the name) having a promo package for hob, stove and oven all in for $999. Of course not the top range I guess but good enough for home usage, am pretty keen on that. Of a decent brand as well. Dryer, likely going for Citygas, cheaper dryer and savings in the long run. Sink may get Sellena from Tmall. Faucets maybe from Kraus Amazon (Approx USD 160 free shipping) Fridge - LG Still like the big and metallic look. Else Panasonic, freezer compartment at the bottom half, this appeals to me. Lifestyle is using the normal cooling compartment more hence no need to keep bending down to reach for the below section.

Wow, nice pieces you found. Since they are cupboard furniture, I doubt that there will be too much quality issues, unlike fabric sofa, or faucets with variable mechanical parts. Considering the price difference with carpentry, may be worth to pull the trigger.

Good review. Would be great if you can post some reviews on the Kohler items and Sellena sinks. Issues such as installation, price comparing to Singapore and links would be much appreciated. Thank you.
