  1. It is right over here where the loose wires are. The points are yet to be install.
  2. Thanks, I am sure your reno is coming along fine as well.
  3. Welcome to Mr. Foo Club. Please do take note of measurements and photos of big item for the house and discuss with Mr. Foo. He will then offer his comment and advise on the feasibility, on colours, design etc.
  4. Yes. That sound bar comes with a wireless sub woofer. Sound bar with wireless active subwoofer delivers superior surround sound from TV and Blu-ray sources Mr. Foo does his carpentry all with internal PVC, it is his norm the standard. So are the ABS trimmings. Hence I would not say his price is the cheapest around though but also not the costliest. I think I can phrase it this way, Mr. Foo has a certain standard that he wants to achieve and maintain. He doesnt fill is plate to the brim but rather has sufficient work to go around. Some house owners has rather unique expectation or requirement, he will rather forego the client than to push thru. Eg. we both agreed that glossy white, back, red laminates combinations are very 80s, so if the house owners insists, he will persuade to change. Else he will rather let it pass. The work he does must pass his self set standard and will not compromised if deem as a poor design. Some may call it snobbish or arrogant but I view it as having passion and taking pride in his work. These are some prerequisite when it comes to work, especially for an ID. If the ID has no passion or pride, what one will get is duplicate of design litter all over this ID's projects.
  5. TB and Tmall still have their charms for folks looking for a bargain. Still there is no 100% guarrantee that all items sold are in perfect condition when arrive. The bottomline is for buyers to practise some due diligence, common sense and effort. Please read up the comment/feedback and note the quantity sold. I have had better experience in Tmall than TB so far. Items arrived in sound packaging and one piece. Managing one's expectation is required as well. You cant pay peanuts but expect LV quality. Consider the items you are buying, non electrical, less moving parts are generally safer. Eg. Dining tables are more reliable than chest of drawes. China is the world's factory. More than half of the global goods are manufactured in China. So let's face it, you can run but you can never hide.
  6. Aint no king of TB. There are folks who did a better job than I did. Merely sharing what I had experienced. White is more prone to blemishes. Also seems that fungus are attracted to these white finish as well.
  7. Sneak peep at the Study Room. I am so glad that all carpentry comes with internal PVC. It changes the overall look, despite some are actually covered up like a cabinet. The conventional white is out, always have problems with turning yellowish and any blemishes are magnified.
  8. Thanks for the kind words. Have to put in effort to stretch the dollar to the max. Considering the amount of clothing, bedsheets, blankets etc. one have to really get more storage space. There are no wardrobe in other rooms, so have to max out the space available. Given we are moving from existing place, there are are tons of things to be move as well. So careful planning is required. However, any careful planning still equates to more spending.
  9. Nope. I did not. The soundbar I bought comes with a wireless sub woofer, so placement is not an issue.
  10. Thanks bro! You sure is a "hardworking" man. Congrats to you. New chapter on the way!
  11. Matter of getting use to. Once using it for some time, will forget the inconvenience. Likewise when choosing paint colour, flooring etc. as long as not too "unique", I believe the colours will grow on you.
  12. I Cant remember the exact price but approx. $450 and $550. (Before discount) 2 range, difference in the frame thickness. Thicker means more support in a way. I took the thicker frame and got it thru my ID Mr. Foo and was offered a better price. Yes, some may ask why didnt I go direct. The fact is, I did. Turns out the price not as attractive as ID price. This is also one of the nifty part about Mr. Foo. His flexibility in allowing you to get your own stuff is brilliant. Of course not to the extend that after all things are planned and ordered. http://www.pddoor.com/contact-us East Plan 21 Pte Ltd 607 Balestier Road Singapore 329906 Tel: +65 6356 1833 Fax: +65 6356 1138 Email: eastplan@singnet.com.sg
  13. If you can do away with TV feature wall and settle for a TV console, you can save at least 1K. So how long is the walk in wardrobe? Also how long is the study table? Seems a little pricey here at 6.5k Are these shelves new? Why didnt your ID do internal PVC for you?
  14. Actually why dont put the stove nearer to the service yard? Easier for fumes to escape?
  15. Using table when package is 2m x 1m x 0.5m = 1m3 Base on Amcon rates = RMB550 + SGD35 + GST. Deliver to door step.
  16. Hi, bulb type is E27. The lighting came without the bulbs and I am buy them locally. Colour and type of bulb think can be mix and match. Go to a lighting shop and check it out.
  17. Living Room Cabinets with TV Console and Altar up. Pardon the dark pictures for the place has no lighting now. The laminates has a texture feel to it with grain lines running top down. Anyway, these pictures are not doing them any justice.
  18. Craft Brick. Approx. 50 x 25 x 35 (cm) per box. I did not weight them but believe to be in excess of 20kg per carton.
  19. TV Console. Fits up to 60 inch TV Slots for Sound Bar and below for any other players etc Right at the bottom, house for Robotic vacuum cleaner.
  20. Please check if the piping of the 1 year old system 3 are also 1 year old? If it is not, then perhaps you should consider to change the piping then to consider if to keep the system 3. During renovation is the best time to change piping, else if hidden by box up or carpentry, it will be a nightmare in years to come. Also, you can ask if you can run the piping for System 4 but use back the System 3 plus one additional blower. Not sure about the cost and feasibility though. You have to find out from aircon seller.
  21. Thank you for your compliments. This is a place I call home for years to come, even with the intention to retire in. Hence the extra efforts to look into finer details and to stretch the dollar to the max. I am not saying it is an easy job but due diligence and some common sense will start the ball rolling. Information are abundance around, just need to sieve out the good and weed out the useless. Throw in with some cold calling and door knocking, you are master of you own. Like truly yours, the relentless effort to seek out the heavenly note paved way for amateurs like us. Saving us the agony and the chopping board while achieving what we initially venture out to seek. Starting a biz is definitely not on the agenda. A tad too tedious to please another's needs and demands. If you need someone to discuss how to make purchase from TB, drop me a PM and we can discuss some pointers.
  22. Yes. You need to declare at the Singapore customs. Msia customs dont bother what you bring back at all. Singapore customs allow any personal leaving Singapore less than 24hours to bring back SGD150 worth of goods. So if you manage to squeeze 4 pax in the car for the 2hour ride, you have SGD600, works out to be RM1500.
