Congrats on the new place. Any floor plan to share?
-
It does look detail but of course we cant see the measurements due to the fine print. Kinda too technical for folks who arent familiar with reading technical drawing. Anyway why All internal white PVC? Have a fancy for white?

Maybe you can share with us the floor plan layout for better visualization?

Bought a kettle from Amazon but arrive with a blemish. Paint peeled off. Luckily got a full refund. Still, I rather have a good kettle.

Maybe you can share with us the floor plan and area?

Actually this does not cover the whole house. Those hidden are supplied by electrician.

Seriously, something is very wrong. I feel your ID did not bother to communicate things with you and took things for granted. Anyway could be plumber's faulty but if plumbing is under ID, then still his responsibility.

Cant remember, probably $500.

New Gate is up. White powder coated aluminium.

Hi, not sure, wife did the choosing. I did the paying.

I will always remember the dining and study table. Good value for money, strong and sturdy. Great buy I must comment and not paying exorbitant prices in Singapore.

Great that you went for Krono O. A fair bit of savings you must had. A new hob at least.

That is the "catch" of doing renovation, especially if one cannot stick to the plan or knowing what you want. The frequent changing and adding is not going to help either, it will simply complicate the so call sign contract with many grey areas. Likewise, I dont know what is my final cost but then I do have an estimated amount given to me. End of the day, just base on the quoted for the variations. For payment wise, there is no hard and fast rule even contract is signed. If one is comfortable to pay 50% then do it, else bring it up and settle for 40% and agree for balance later. Dont worry, be it 40% or 50%, IDs and contractors are more then willing to take the cheque.

I dont think this is powder coat. Powder coating is even and smooth, kinda like spray paint. Powder coat is can be scratched but never hear that it can be remove by masking tape.

There some other mechanisms that can serve your needs. Such as the magnet type but you need to drill on the wall. And also to remove the existing one (or you can keep it). Not sure about the cost. Else you can simply remove the auto close mechanism. Changing the door is not a feasible option. Fire rated 2 ply door (one big one small) is average 1.5K. Can be cheaper if you look around hard enough. Lastly, the few dollars option is to get a rubber wedge but watch it, the dog may starting chewing it.

This is a great idea. I did a similar removal. Matter of fact I hack away the walls as well. Kitchen feels more spacious and more natural light. The walls , windows are pretty redundant.. Imagine where all the fumes escape to when cooking? Surely not living room.

These are nice tiles but would there be too many grouts lines? My concern is that using in wet area, the algae like stuff tends to grow into the grouts and hard to remove.

Update: Doors are up for study room.

As mentioned, it is a Today's Deal or Gold Box Deal. Sometimes Amazon also mess up their own shipping policy.

It was free shipping under those Today's Deal.

I believe you are a first time house owner? Prior to making decision for the design and look. Ask yourself some questions. How long do you intend to stay in this house? Long enough till kids are teenagers or changing when MOP? This plays a part in decision making then. If planning to stay for min a decade and starting a family, you may have to consider more for the future. New home makers are moving with their luggage and new items are add on when deemed necessary. Coming from moving to a second home perspective, I view storage as an important aspect for my new place. Eg, in the bathroom, I need storage for the spare shower gel, shampoo, toilet rolls etc. I dont like the idea of getting caught in the midst of action and scampering around the house to get the new roll from the store. Ask new home makers, slowly but surely possession grows with or without reason. You have seen Mr. Foo.'s place and I believe his cement screed look feature wall storage had solve quite a fair bit of his storage issue.
