Thanks. That was the first thing we thought when we saw the house. The house was kept very neat and tidy by the ex-owner I would say. And we really like the layout of the house with open concept kitchen. But after few rounds of self-poison from this forum, I gathered many wonderful concepts from the people here and decided to at least do up the house in a practical and livable way.

Thanks for the warm welcome. As this unit is on a rather low floor and we are getting very little light coming into the kitchen and dining area. And to keep it simple we decided to change the windows and grills, hack down the original utility room (or store room which was done up by ex-owner), which will provide us plenty of kitchen space and nature light. We will thus having a open kitchen.
