yeah ... toilets is really the 2nd most expensive part of renovating the whole house ... so terrible ... I was thinking if it is possible for me to get my ID to do the whole house and leave the 2 toilets alone ? then i call contractor directly to reno my 2 toilets .. will that be cheaper ?? any advice ???

nah .. Buddhism is not a chinese religion and does not have its roots with chinese but rather india, it is thru the many years of Sinonisation of buddhism in china that made the concept that Buddhism is a chinese religion or even associated with Buddhism. To be fair to fengshui believers n masters, I do not dishonour the beleifs of fengshui and fengshui itself should be a theory of harmonizing and should not have anything to do with religion. if we view fengshui purely as a subject without associating with religion ... i see that it is quite nice itself. However, the sad case now we see is tat fengshui is now always trespassing into religious grounds and esp into the Buddhist grounds ... why Buddhism ? cos there is a wide acceptance of Buddhism in modern plp but yet many who accepts Buddhism are not sure of buddhist teachings and this is when many fengshui masters starts making comments n advice over buddhist homes, buddhist incons. Fengshui is wonderful in it's purest state ... I read a thread by Mr Chong over 7th month issue, I am glad that he pointed out that it can be viewed from a Buddhist or Taoist view when moving houses, becos Buddhists do not consider the "ghost month" a bad month to move houses.

this is why that there is a need to dis-associate fengshui with Buddhism, its fengshui "masters" who blend them into fengshui, trespassing into the buddhist grounds.

it is best that u ask yr pastor or priest regarding this issue... fengshui may not associate with religion but sometimes, religious stands may be aganist fengshui consultation. see wat yr pastor says ....

it is a very traditional Jap design butsudan, ebay all consider these as vintage Butsudans .. very ex ... if u decide to give up yrs .. pls tell me ! haha ... i dun mind buying over. Jus the perfect size to place my Buddha statue in it ... awwww ... so nice ...

Tuesday May 22, 6:17 PM Residents of Jurong West block evacuated due to fire ADVERTISEMENT SINGAPORE : Residents of Block 660C in Jurong West Street 64 were woken up from their sleep and evacuated from their homes after fire broke out in one of the flats early Tuesday morning. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire shortly before 2 am. Fire fighters arrived at the scene a few minutes later to find thick smoke bellowing from the bedroom windows of the unit on the 15th floor. They entered the unit and extinguished the fire within 15 minutes. One of the female occupants was sent to the National University Hospital for observation. As a precaution, residents from the 14th to 16th floors were evacuated. The SCDF said the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. - CNA/ms

thanks for the comments ..well, so far .. my id from spacious gave me quite a good design of altar but still need to meet him next week .. then can decide ... yeah .. i agree with u tat white lights jus spoils everything ... as for my room, i feel maybe the ceiling is too raw .. so many decide false ceiling or cover lights as to make it better .. my room is actually ikea DIY .. but i duno why i jus canot make the feel .. i think maybe something is missing behing my bedtop , maybe a feature wall ? a difernt tone of colour ? or add some wallpapers ???? already spent 2 K on my room furnishing liao .. so, jus wanna touch up so minor reno i happy liao .. lol... actually i am a very tidy guy, it gets messy becos i jus keep things and dun use them for yrs and years ... as a result in the chaos now .. haiz .. jus now, i got so many extra things ... I got extra stuffs as below: 3 sets of CRTV 3 DVD players 1 old pioneer HTS 1 extra sofa from ikea (kippan) 1 extra coffee table 1 extra chinese lamp 1 extra balinese batik painting 1 extra chinese embroidery painting amnd many many more ... feel so heart pain to throw and yet so hard to sell off ... wtd ??? haiz

Dogs !! i haven tot of how am i going to deal with them durin reno .. goodness ! the one who opens FLS .. * is one big fool who misuses Buddhism in his fengshui biz ... but hes not the only one .. many of them are like that .. esp *and many others Mace. well, plp can detest Buddhism but I still must not allow Buddhism to be fooled ard by fengshui theories and practises. u can rojak all u wan and i will contine my purist way and a strong NO to any fengshui "masters" who associates buddhism with fengshui. thanks

Yeah ... that is WHY i am HERE to tell our dear FENGSHUI masters to spare BUDDHISM off their menu list .. since Fengshui is fengshui .. Buddhism is Buddhism ... and placement of Buddhist statues are purely Buddhist affairs not fengshui issues ... yeah .. just like some fengshui "masters" who keeps on playing Buddha .. making buddhism a big fool using the name of fengshui ... fengshui is fengshui ... Buddhism is Buddhism ...

I have no qualms over practises in fengshui ... as i mentioned, the only problem that lies with fengshui is that many "masters" keeps on getting Buddha images, buddhist icons etc into the fengshui arena. good example, 缘中秀 .. hey man ... when did Buddha statues become 佛基 can fengshui guys just leave Buddhism out of the fengshui afflication ???? I do understand Fengshui although claims to be non religious but yet is commonly afflicated to beliefs with Taoism and chinese folks beliefs ... as fot taking rap for owner's death ... defintely a No n buddhist belief ... we all handle our lives and Kamma but if u r lookin at a non budhist view, i have no qualms i am not here to do religious spamming but to protect my faith being misused.'
