  1. More kitchen cabinet shots. And the designtractor hid all our kitchen switches for a cleaner space.
  2. The kitchen cabinets. Honestly, the designatractor and I had some major disagreement at this area. While I love how he had layout the kitchen with plentiful of storage I had requested. I am not sure of the materials he had selected - mirrors especially. But when all was up, my.... I was speechless, in a good way. Plenty of storage for my luggage. Mandatory! My job requires me to travel and I have to just pack and go. Easy assess to cups, plates and condiments!
  3. Since this is a really old unit... there isn't a bomb shelter/store. So... the designtractor built one instead. He did it in such a way it looked more like a pillar. And yes! that's our main door!
  4. Wall to wall sliding door wardrobe for me. A partition was built for a hotel wardrobe concept. Pull-out drawers for my pole wardrobe system.
  5. And the smart carpentry by the designtractor for our utility-into-guest-room. A loft concept where the bed is stacked on top of a mini wardrobe!
  6. While there were nitty gritty issues... I am pleased how everything came together. Some before and after photos.
  7. Day 25 to 27 Our flooring was installed, as well as our kitchen cabinets. Doors have to be removed so my designtractor could overlay with laminated flooring. Flooring arrived!
  8. Day 24 also marked the completion of phase 1 paint job, and the installation of our ceiling + lighting fans. My relatives and the designtractor said it's an over-kill to install so many but we just prefer to have lots of circulating air. Our Amasco 48" fans + light kit.
  9. By the end of day 24, our toilets are completed! Rain shower system from Hoe Kee.
  10. Crystal clear windows at the utility room... not much of a view. Haha!
  11. While nearing day 24... all seems to be falling into place nicely. It's still terribly dirty and dusty though. The curb for our cabinets.
  12. Our WHITE windows during the day! My mom and I just love WHITE!
  13. By evening... Our new windows were up! I'm loving the frosted glass finish! Allows sufficient light from the walkway to pass through yet having the privacy.
  14. Day 16 to 24 In order to cut cost, our designtractor had suggested we do an overlay of tiles. I didn't knew it was possible until he explained. All these while I had only imagined "hacking" as the only option. Works were carried out and place was an absolute mess!! Our horrific looking toilet... honestly, I panicked when I saw. We selected a glossy white tile the designtractor picked out. It would be used to tile the whole kitchen. It wasn't as bad as I thought...
  15. And lastly, we ended the day at Lightings.com.sg for the obvious Nothing fantastic... but real functional designs. Price is reasonable too.
  16. At Hafary... selecting tiles. It was such a pain with so many options. I wanted some really beautiful looking tiles but budget didn't fit. The designtractor shortlisted a few, I wasn't really happy but he promised it'd turn out well.
