Can ask contractor to do? I just ask mine to stain a darker colour for me but he says might not be able to see the wood grain so he'll show me a sample first.

There's this place selling Indonesian Teak furniture at rather reasonable prices with good finishing. It's called Hands Gallery at The Helping Hands halfway house at Upper Serangoon Road. They import the furniture and do the finishing here.

Massimmo sofas are very nice! and ex too.. one L shape set with 3 modules can set you back about 3-4K. But one thing about their sofas, they're mainly low back, so there's no head and neck support lor. maybe not very suitable for long periods of sitting. I went to the showroom at Ubi, but they don't have all the models there.. nor do they have any catalogues. It's all on the website.. so if you wanto take down prices for comparison its better to print out or note down the models you like from the website first.. hth

v.hive furniture is not solid wood so i wouldn't buy the beds there.. i scared it will creak after a few years. i'm getting the shoe cabinet though. The one with the holes in the door for your shoes to "breathe".
