Will like to know how you all check your house before the ID or contractor hand over the house? Any specific things to look out for or keep in mind? !!

The plumber has 10 years of experience, and no such accidents before! We break the records in toilet bowel cracking for the supplier side, contractor side and plumber side! Maybe can be put up in guinese record liao

They did not agree to full refund and blame it on the plumber!! Even want my contractor to pay for all 5 of them if we want to change brand........ They say they will get their plumbers to do the installation this time round to prove that their products is of superb quality!!!

We did not know the value of our flat now, but guess with the MRT circle line coming up it will be higher than when we bought it. There were 2 other couples viewing the flat on the day we went for viewing in March. Are you one of them? Anyway congrats on the purchase of your new house:) must be very excited getting the keys

Is it? When did you view the house? We only know that another unit at blk 317 level 11-15 is just sold at 530k, as listed in hdb website.....

Can't believe it .... my new toilet bowl crack again ... now i have 5 cracked toilet bowl out of the 6 installed in total .... the quality of the toilet bowl is a big question mark now !?!??! bought all the stuff from sparco at balestier ...**** ......

Understand what you mean. Best is let those who caused the scratches have a taste of what they have done sneak into their home and scratched their floor!!!

Was cleaning up the MBR, and found some tiles got scratches on them ... scratches if you don't look very hard, you would be able to spot it .... But now that i spotted it .... wondering should i insisited on changing them ...... Also realised that the window is not wind-tight ... becos when there is strong wind blowing ... there will be an echo coming from a window panel of the study, is it normal for window not to be wind-tight ?

The vanity top is also installed ... The shower screen The staircase flooring is also completed ...... and the door that my fengshui shifu ...insisted .....kitchen door .... scared pple see wht i am cooking inside ................. remind me of The ROCK(that wrestler) ................ "DO YOU KNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.............. WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING ...................." (don't really know wht he meant. ) (but...it cost me at least 1 grant ..... )

Took some spare time to look at the renovation progress and take some pic .... Most of the door are installed .... The bifold door for the 2nd floor toilet .... The veneer door for all the rooms ........... The MBR bathroom door ..........

read your t-blog looks like everyone got it one way or another from ppl in the renovation business really cant imagine why they cant jus take it as partnership and do a good job

R-Day 71 ~~~~~~ Wow, the renovation coming to the 3rd mths ....... but then again .... we are not in a hurry ..... C was commenting that i have not updated the reno progress for a long time liao ... so here's the lastest pic ... Finally the TV console is up ..... initially i insist on buying the TV console, becos i find it more cost effective and practical, but after a few trip to the furniture mall, those console that i have an eye on cost as much as the console my renovator quoted me .... so finally decided to let the renovator do the job .... The bookshelve looks huge .... The MBR bedframe is also up ... The baywindow turn out exactly the way we want it ..... Finally the staircase hanging light is up .... and we are very satisfied with it ..........

Guess i not post any of the drawing done by my renovator .... Here are some of them .... The living room .... Of cos i cannot stand the purple color ........ The kitchen .... We decided to change the top laminate to off-white ..... so that the kitchen will not be sooo ...."or-or" ... The MBR .... C's master piece ....

Now the renovator and toilet bowl supplier is arguing who is the culprit who broke the 3 toilet bowl. C is really concern, she been asking wht if the quality of that particular toilet bowl is really poor, sooner or later it is going to crack again even if we get a replacement. So she is thinking of ditching this brand of toilet bowl totally. My other concern is the damage to the tiles around the bowl during the rework.

oh the common loo upstair is a wet-dry-wet ... we placed the shower head near the door ... the kitchen basin is near to the entrance and the cooking area is near the box up pipes beside the rubbish chute .... instructed by the fengshi shifu ... becos he said .... when cooking best to face east ..... also when cooking cannot let other pple see .... scared pple steal our food??

oh........... that is my torchlight i used to do my inspection .... white light can let me see clearer ...

Now to the defects ...... Went through all the works that are completed and check for the workmanship ... and discovered that all the 3 toilet bowls have cracks .... some have more than 1 crack .. call the renovator to resolve it becos the supplier is recommended by her .... The MBR toilet bowl .... it has 3 cracks ... The 2nd floor common bathroom toilet bowl It has 2 cracks and the cover for the watertank is chipped. The 1st floor common bathroom .... it also has 2 cracks The window, although was changed after my first complain, is still not up to my standard .... there are still edges that are slightly dented .... and one of the catch has coating peeling off ..... at press time ... i am still looking out for defects and documenting them .... well ...the renovator must be wishing my boss will continue to give me more work ...hahahaha Apart from the defects that we have discovered, most of the works we are rather satisfied, so credits have to be given to the renovator ...

Woke up early in the morning to make up for the work i have left behind for C .... and taking pictures and checking for defects from the reno work ..... The feeling is very good ...at least this work is for myself and C ..... The lights that we bought are already install ...but we are still shortage of the staircase light and balcony light... The master bed room is an island with 4 downlights .... at the side there will be flourscence lights as well. The masterbed bathroom light ... it has leaf imprint on it ....... The common and studyroom light The 2nd level common bathroom lights ..... 10cents for those who can guessed where we got it from ..... IKEA The kitchen light ... we decided to buy 3 x PLC light becos we only want to place one light in our kitchen becos the lenght of the kitchen is rather short .... entering the kitchen i was rather surprised that the kitchen cabinet is already almost completed .... i was like so excited when C give me a cold look and said ...this is already up for almost a week ... ...ok .......

Hi ..... Was very very very ...... busy with work ... kena sent oversea twice in less than 2 mths .... don't even have time to look at the reno process .... C is the one who is doing the follow up ......... and she is singing "Face black black " ..... liao ... everyone in the office is asking me how's my reno ... i was telling them ... i am not very sure ..... scully, everyone moved into the new house liao .... i also .....DUNO ........
