  1. I think the toilet wall and floor tiles will be fully done up...but it should be quite ugly tiles bah... but we are not suppose to remove the tiles for 3 years right? HDB regulations..
  2. I just check my HDB portal. My tentative end date is still Q1 2008. Any one has it earlier?? the SERS people??
  3. Just went down again just now at 8 plus. They din on the corridor lights so could not see anything... saw some lights on top of block A so maybe they are doing some works at night also...not sure.. For those who are considering between ID and contractor... this thread is an interesting read.. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8455
  4. Hi pink_sea79 Welcome to the Toa Payoh thread!
  5. Haha i rather HDB use mine for a show flat. My colleague bought a Seng Kang show flat from HDB... a bit ex but at least he can use CPF to pay for the reno.
  6. Hi carelinwen, yup i agree.... how i wish i can cash my leaves too... last time my company is able to do that. sigh. I dun think it is possible to spend below 20k if you really wanna do it nicely. My fren actually targetted to do it at $18k and the carpenter is his wife's uncle. But as you know there is bound to be some alteration works and the budget is eventually burst. i think his reno is closing to 30k..if i am not wrong. Luckily he is still studying so he can afford the time to go down 3-4 times a week to inspect. I guess i will engage an ID to do up all the essential stuff first. Life in a Korean style house first loh... and buy the furnitures slowly.. what to do... sigh -_-
  7. Wow Unimax sounds good. Maybe can share with us once you have the 3D drawings and quotation I dun have any budgets for ID also... but currently looking at my fren's reno who design himself and find contractor to do... it seems like you have to spend a lot of time and effort monitoring the contractor. It is not exactly cheap also seeing him spending 20 plus to 30K on the reno already.
  8. Thanks carelinwen Thanks bonkitty for adding me to the list My morning shuttle bus passes our place every morning... its a pain to see Blk A still crawling slowly up.. I think its only at 37 floor
  9. Hehe yup i think so too.... was quite lucky to even get a place. My previous two application for Seng Kang and Punggol failed. could not even get a queue number.
  10. Hi future neighbours.... Just found this forum.... My future wife and I will be staying at Block B... the lower block in-between towers... Got the flat through balloting. Only the lower floors are left for us since our queue is so far behind
