  1. Just website... no shop... I've got the contact from a friend who bought there actually, so I knew quality ok but I didn't see the item in showroom before.
  2. Delivery was ok... when I ordered they quoted 8 weeks but I actually got it in 6 weeks. They delivered on a Saturday and the delivery guy was on time. It's just a couple of weeks old but leather quality is good, much softer than the leather sofa I bought from Sea Horse... But more exp of course... One of my friends also got the Eames lounge chair and quality is good, wood and leather are as good as the one from Xtra.
  3. For wallpaper you can check homelovers. Good choice and cheaper than IMM shops
  4. Mirror should be installed with plywood backing and silicone joints. No risks of cracks. But think twice before doing a large wall, it can be disturbing. Usually, small wall (like near dining table, corner, etc...) is nice but very large wall can be too much.
  5. I use halogen 20W for spotlights and economy bulbs in pendants. So it's ok ;0)
  6. I've tried LED bulb before but beware of warranty cause a lot burn quickly (looks like the led is strong but the electronic is not). So I'm back to halogen... In any case, if you buy led, make sure you have warranty !
  7. How is the quality with your Vincent ? I've got curtains from JM Design before, good quality but super expensive and very bad service. I've seen HM curtains also... anyone tried ? any feedback ?
  8. Star living is really ok. Not too exp, quality ok. I also got furniture from : Ikea http://www.ikea.com/sg the classic ikea... Sea horse (beds, no website... they have a shop in plaza singapura) Tangs http://www.tangs.com/ they have a good selection of beds The designer chair http://www.thedesignerchair.com/ designer replicas, not cheap but very good quality I know a few others but I would not recommend them.
  9. Hi Cysta, some shops / websites where I've bought my furniture: THE GOOD ONES 1. Star living (www.starliving.com.sg): Got several items from their shop near Labrador Park mrt. Services is pretty good, price reasonnable. 2. TANGS: bought my bed there, it's exp but they do special discount days for cardmembers, citybank, etc.. Service tip top and good quality, smooth delivery. 3. The designer chair (www.thedesignerchair.com) Got this website on recommandation from a friend, they specialise in designer replicas. Nice and knowledgeable sales guy (not sure he is French or Italian...). I got my lounge chair here, A bit exp but still cheaper compared to other shops and quality is really tip top. 4 Franc franc: got some home accessories there, service is very good, some nice designs. THE AVERAGE ONES 1. Sea horse: got a sofa and a mattress there. Cheap and quality is ok but service is terrible, like... no service actually 2. Ikea. Well, it's like...ikea. Huge shop, large choice, pretty cheap but quality so so THE BAD ONES 1. Red apple. Deliver items that are broken (and they knew it). Just don't go there 2. Ritz Rymen. Service is pretty bad, sofa looks good when new but ages quickly
  10. if you take super glossy, better go for good quality cause the surface need to be perfectly flat unless you'll see many defects in the reflection. You need thick, good quality laminate, don't go for the cheaper ones.
  11. where did you buy your wallpaper from ? I've been to Homelovers, good choice but price is more exp

    Ritz Rymen

I've bought a TV console, a coffee table and a sofa there. The sales guy was nice but the chinese lady was harsh (the owner surely) Quite bad service overall and quite expensive. the coffee table was scratch but I didn't see it at first and they refused to replace it... The sofa looks old after just 6 months... I would not recommend this shop to my friends
