  1. Hi SamTheMan, no offence to you but it seems like it's been a long time since you last shop for furniture. Perhaps you should start shopping again to keep yourself updated before you give advise. Beside Zolano, now they also carry another range of sofa. For me, when it comes to furniture shopping, I look for 1) comfort 2) price 3) design It does not matter to me who is low end and who is prestige. As long as my wallet is comfortable. Look at massimo and weloveair, are they prestigious enough? I was surprised when they said that their sofas are manufactured locally.
  2. Hi all, I added 3 more furniture shops. They are Hommage Lifestyle, Pomelo and White Wood
  3. Here's some information I gather when I visited these shops. Hope it helps. Hommage Lifestyle http://www.hommagelifestyle.com/index.php/living-room/item/1144-fusion model: Fusion Quoted: $15xx in Acacia belgium fabric $28xx in full grain hide aniline Lead time: 3-4 weeks made in Malaysia weloveair http://weloveair.com/siteAir/seating_sofa.html model: Tatler quoted: $27xx in Acacia belgium fabric lead time:8-9 weeks made in Singapore according to the salesgirl, they no longer make leather sofa. Massimo http://www.massimmo.com/product.php?pid=26 model: vermicelli quoted: $23xx in Acacia belgum fabric $35xx in imported leather leather lead time: 4-6 weeks made in Singapore or JB xzqt according to them, they said this deign no longer available, thus no quotation Modliving http://www.modliving.com.sg/index.php?session=4a29d76fe4a92e99295e9a32792057ce&module=product&pid=682 model: Revers quoted: $61xx in fabric according to them, Modliving now carries mainly fabric design. For leather sofa, I was referred to Castilla. When I was there, they recommended their Asia made sofa which are cheaper. Pomelo https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=625979177460040&set=a.144437078947588.28833.137422689649027&type=1&theater Quoted: $35xx in cotton blend fabric only lead time: 2 months If any of these information are incorrect, please update here so that we can benefit from it. Happy shopping!
  4. I like your shower bench. Nice!
  5. Can you elaborate more why you say hommage is a low end, HDB style shop? I'm confused by your reply cos when I went to their showroom, I saw n tried on their sofa which cost more than 10k.
  6. sad to say not all furniture shops allowed you to take pictures
  7. Hi terencet4n, I remembered reading on RT about The Montella, think they no longer in operation but I don't seem to find them. I been looking around for sofa too. And I shortlisted these shops. Hopes it help. 1) Hommage Lifestyle 2) We love air 3) Massimmo 4) XZQT 5) Modliving
  8. Hi bto2013, At first I placed order for their Nabobsim, but I changed it to other model cos I decided to buy a new mattress for my mum as well. The boss recommended me one with memory foam called Nitingale cos I'm a side sleeper. And I got a more firm mattress with latex top for my mum (cant remember the name) My new place is not ready yet but I have my mattress delivered 1st to replace my old ones. I cant sleep well with my current mattress. It's the worst mattress I ever purchased! I been sleeping on Goodnite mattress for almost a week now and I LOVE it! My gals sleeps with me and she loves to sleep on my arm. With my old mattress, I get numbness in my arm after awhile and I got to move her away (which I hate it cos she will wake up!) but so far with my new mattress, I dont get this problem. If you ask me about their mattress, I would say it's a good buy. Luxurious comfort with a reasonable price. Hehe... With my aircon on, I really feel like sleeping in a 5-star hotel. hahaha.... As for the other model, it's yet to be delivered so I cant comment.
  9. Hi oldboy, I thought all storage bedframe all the same? My current 1 are sealed too. Been using it for years.
  10. Hi bto2013, u're right I got my mattress from Hommage. I yet to decide on my bed frame. Either their solid wood frame or storage. Pills, I agreed with you that Tempur mattress really feel different as compared to others mattress cos it's full memory foam Omazz mattrrss is full latex so more bouncy. 2 different types of material provide 2 different type of comfort. As for my mattress, I got both latex n memory foam in it. So I suppose I will get both the comfort?! Hehe...
  11. Anyway I got my king size mattress from Goodnite already. Hehe... very good price & comfory as compared to other reputable brands. My Malaysian friends told me that Goodnite a very big & establish brand in their country. Go Google about them & u'll know what I mean. Btw bto2013, which bedframe u like from Goodnite? Can PM me the details? Perhaps I can help
  12. Nice! Can PM me once you get the price? thanks. I'm also thinking of this design, saw from another forumer blog http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/61629-industrial-loft-concept-bachelor-pad/page-2
  13. Amk. Or you can try people's park complex 2nd floor. There also sell fabric n able to sew for you.
  14. Anyone heard of this brand Goodnite?
  15. Depends on the design. Simple ones I think $5-$10. I asked my seamstress to sew my cover she charges me $5. Some located at market are cheaper. I did a throw for my sofa, bought my fabric from Abrab St, went to market and ask the lady to stitch up the 4 sides for me, cost $4
  16. Buy pillow from ikea, fabric from textile centre or Arab street, go to any shop that do alteration for clothing and ask them to sew the cover for you. Cheap n good!
  17. Personally I think if you have younger children, fabric is better. Currently I'm using leather, my two kids (>3yrs) start drawing on them and sometimes, they will scratch them using sharp object like keys while playing. I gotta use a throw from Ikea over my leather sofa to prevent them from 'harming' my leather sofa. Now my leather sofa is full on stains and scratches... sign Will change to fabric sofa for my new place, any damages to the sofa cover, I can wash or change them.
  18. I was told for storage bed, you can only put 'soft' stuffs that is related to your bed, like clothing, pillows, stuffs toy... nothing sharp underneathe. No fire or metal element under your bed.
  19. Whao... 1.1k?! It's nice but too x for me
  20. Hi tailgas, Have you been to their showroom before? Actually before I visited their showroom, I don have much expectation. I thought it's only a small shop with minimum display and mainly select from catalogue. but I was surprise! Their showroom is quite big and they do have display. But if you don like their display design, you can ask them for their catalogue to select other design. I was surprise with their range of products they sell. They not only sell Bryght products but also designer chair like Pasha chair, Eamas chair...Price is reasonable. At least I can see and feel the physical stuffs before purchasing. Most importantly, got after sales service. Buying online is a risk to me.
  21. Hi mishmish, Try the weekend market chatuchap. They do sell these stuffs there. Nice design n price ok depend on your bargaining skill.
  22. I been using KDK fans for years, designs not as stylish but good performance
  23. Hihi, For those who PM me about btyght products, they are available at hommage lifestyle. Happy shopping...
