  1. thanks for sharing the wall clock shops
  2. they are only providing ID works ? if so, then the contractors are the ones that need to be registered.
  3. It is really up to individual. For some who are just staying in their house temporarily (eg. a few short years), they feel no need to install others who are planning a longer stay, may want these data points with the view that more and more services will be IP based and that data points will be important. already we are seeing TV, phones, cameras that are IP based. Soon, (now don't laugh) Refrigerator, oven, in-house devices (eg. thermostats) etc. I have even seen a mirror that has an IP connection to stream news and email . (when they need those on a mirror is beyond me)
  4. haha. get the set ! organiser, broom and all . haha
  5. actually hor. you can ask your contractor to do a bit lah. don;t conceal everything. maybe at "strategic" places
  6. don't forget to share the results .
  7. the name of the shop is Rhythm and Seiko ? do you have the address ?
  8. totally agree. my theme will likely be "My family" anything that works for the peeps will be good to go.. heheh
  9. are these homogenous tiles ? looks very nice.
  10. thanks for sharing the TB info. very useful. share the TB links too,, hehe
  11. decorative sheets are really coloured PVC used for carcass of cabinets as contrasted to laminates typically used on exposed panels.
  12. Nice ! i like the internal of the carpentry. are these decorative sheets or laminates ? i am also selecting deco sheets and yours looks like ECAM PVC EC 5279 (but then I could be totally off)
  13. in that case, use a 4 port face plate
  14. how much is the cat 6 data point ? i am quoted $120 per point
  15. some people will have a DVD player where you will put a DVD disc into the player. media players are those that have a harddisk inside and usually do not play from discs, but from the harddisk. examples include http://acryan.com/sg/ AC Ryan http://www.popcornhour.com.ph/ popcorn hour and other brands NAS = network attached storage if you share files between family members or between different devices, NAS comes in handy. It can also prevent data loss using specific RAID configurations too. Also if you have Apple TV, that's another point maybe if you get wireless headphones next time, the transmitter also need power
  16. i think the ID should give you advice on furniture placement and color as well.
  17. try a patch panel. you can get a 8 port patch panel if you don't have a lot of points. The pict below shows a 24-ports panel
  18. there should be a breakdown. eg. single power socket = $? doublle power socket = $? tel point = $? SCV point = $? lighting point = $? etc i think SCV point is around $110 single power socket around $50 double power socket aroun $60 lighting point around $60
  19. TV, DVD, sound system, one game console, modem. how about media player, router, NAS ? then sometimes you may need to attach other peripheral devices (e,g camera, etc) on adhov basis. The TV console is one energy guzzler.
