i personally find that using velcro to wrap the wires together made it slightly more tolerable.
-
yah.. i also need to move my opennet point. so eyeing either singtel or myrepublic.
-
for the $60/pt quotes, his other stuff are very expensive. esp cabinets. so i am guessing he may be quoting low. I am quite surprised that each point is costing so much. am intending to wire the whole house. I also have a quote from a contractor. he say he can do ID work for "free" but design-wise, not so good .. haha
-
think about there. I got a few quotations from about $60 to $120. but i guess its the tactic used by contractors/ID to price some items lower so as to make comparison not so straightforward. btw, did you engage a contractor or ID ?

haha. yah. am following that thread diligently. how much did your contractor charge you per cat 6 point ? btw, myrepublic is having a promo for 1 Gbps at $49.99/mth. but only for 1st 10,000 signup. think they also throw in free openet installation if i am not wrong. Singtel also has free opennet installation

EMinlove, vicx1234, are both of you installing cat 6 network cables in your houses ? or are you using wireless ?
-
what is the small hole in the middle ?
-
hide the cables .. good idea !

wah... you guys are really patient.... how can everything also "is like this" ? i thought he should remedy it. really looks like shobby work.

I noticed the acryllic ones allows more light in so that the balcony will not be too dark when closed. However, depending on the material, it may or may not "disintegrate" easily. Does the manufacturer provide any warranty against it ? also if you are getting the motorised one, it may be worth to consider if it also have a "manual operated override" in case the motor needs repair and you need to operate the roller blinds.

love your balcony !

I think if one is doing re-wiring work should just go and install cat 6 network points every room. solves a lot of future headache. such as wifi signal not strong in some spots. just my 2cents
