i personally enjoy the chicken rice stall at Mei Ling Street market (ex Magaret Drive) not because the Chicken is tasty but because I can eat the Rice with boiled Bean Sprouts....I usually pass on the chicken -

they are at Mei Ling Street Hawker Center, the hawker center is right smack in front of Block 157 (Mei Ling Street), the stall is located right at the back corner of the hawker center. from Magaret Drive Hawker Center, it is a 15minute walk....just walk along the perimeter of Queenstown Sports Complex (Mei Chin Road), you will not miss the hawker center as its back is along Mei Chin Road. hope i did not confuse e **** out of u -

E so called original halal chicken rice at the coffeeshop has moved to Clementi and what you have at the coffeeshop now is replica......if you need chicken rice, you get chicken rice from them, nothing to shout about, thus for me, i do not think i will bother to make a trip from my block to have their chicken rice...i will not feel left out -

without 2nd thoughts i will drop him off immediately....... unless he is ur buddy, then u can work with trust, this industry has already created a stigma for all these dirty tricks up on their sleeves all the time waiting to pounce on their preys....... -
grouting is not a major defect and you should not loose sleep over it so my advice, dont be paranoid and just live with it or get ID's workers to fill up in whatever possible coloured grout, ignore their advice if it will come off or watever etc.... to me it is just a diplomatic way of tellin you I dont want to do it.

If Enbloc, Stay Where?

one more point to add which i forgot earlier, the S$30K will not be advanced in full, the excess will be dispatched to you with-holding S$10K till you hand over the keys of your existing unit and inspection of your unit is in condition based on your valuation, then the remaining S$10K will be dispatched and all without any accrued interest -

there is no S$30k grant for renovation, there is however what you call S$30k cash advance if your hdb buy back price is greater then your oustanding loan, then you may have the option to advance that amount of money. it is just like a form of Contra not a grant at all. thus if your hdb buy back price is lower then your outstanding loan, then LL lar. your oustanding loan must include all $$ withdrawn from CPF, accrued interest from CPF and your incurred interest. -
solar films like Huper Optik and VKool do not shrink....these films are used on automotives and i have used them for my past 3 cars without any problems not forgetting the environment of an automotive is anytime more harsh then home. these 2 brands are like the BMW or Merz of Solar Films leow....if these dont meet the mark, I dont think any other brand will : ) btw i am not a Solar Film dealer or related to them in anyway, just a satisfied customer of Solar Films

had a near miss with one driver driving down on the opposite side of the down ramp while me going up at least he was very apologetic about it -
haha yes its Hafele and yes it is standard on their systems and it is soft closing so i do not see the need to spend $$ to have it converted to Blum... S/S backing is Stainless Steel if u don mind, wats e price u are paying pfr (Per Foot Run) for top and bottom seperately..... when u got the 10% discount, did u get other things like Dishrack, Cutlery Tray etc.
-
i tot these "premium" hinges with soft stop mechanism are standard? maybe not BLUM but the other German brand which I can remember but it starts from Lxxxx the cupboards with full S/S backing did cost almost a Bomb manz

parents house using Classic Furniture, my current house, just signed a deal with them, pending installation : ) design/material only they can match my expectations, the rest of ID or "Ah Seng" companies are cheap but no quality (lets get Imported cabinets out of the way - too ex). Price wise they are there but if you look at the quality they deliver, it is to be expected as paying attention to details will gurantee an exponential increase in price
-
actually that is good because if you are able to pick up the differences, then it becomes a bottomless pit
-
getting an AVR or Pre/Power setup is ideal but if you are unable to decipher the difference between a HTiB/AVR and Pre/Power setup, go for the cheapest : ) makin a purchase of a AVR for the sole purpose of using it as an HDMI splitter per se is overkill : ) Get a HDMI switch box if you really require more HDMI inputs but for most families, I believe 2 to 3 is maximum of all they need
-
typically 2 to 3 HDMI inputs on ur TV should be sufficient. 1 HDMI from DVD player, 1 HDMI from Playstation or XBox and 1 HDMI from Starhub (future proof). best to use HDMI as opposed to Component for DVD as upscaling to 1080i or 720P is via HDMI outputs on ur DVD to LCD/Plasma.

discreetly call the MIB to come to their home sighting the situation of child plea n cries of agony. dont call the MIB on the basis of noise pollution. the only prob is these MIB takes ages to react so it maybe by the time they arrive, calm has been restored. -
i wouldnt go for retractable screen as it tends to wrinkle at edges and tend to get pretty irritating to look at, go for a fixed screen, looks better too, however the trade off is if u have a TV, you have no place to mount/place the TV. well i sacrificed to end up with a dedicated room for HT, free up some space in living/dining as no massive electrical equip floating around, no big chunks of wires running around, guess its a trade off.
-
u could have designed your home as a movie theatre theme, can be very nice n cosy....i have yet to move to my new place but at my current place, have a dedicated room for HT and will do e same for my new place. yes me also using a Sharp PJ (1280x720) and upscaling to 720P at this moment only, prob when i move then will get a 1080P but pretty reluctant to do so till the HD/BR war ends hahaha. since havin my HT setup i have almost stopped going to Cinemas except to catch those movies that I cannot wait to be released on DVD....
-
wow, finally can see someone having similar interest : ) using PJ in living room is fine if you have decent curtains/blinds....key to success is the screen, do consider using better screens to help enhance the contrast in environments that are not pitch dark, esp in the day. since you are getting a 1080P PJ, do consider a very good source and a HDMI 1.3A compatible Receiver : )
