  1. whoever that person is, thinks that we are in the trade of money laundering definitely S$488k is not affordable to us for 3rm flat regardless of location or elevation
  2. by any chance if anyone knows of residents wanting to sell their units at the recently announced SERS site at Commonwealth Drive?
  3. they will patch the 2 big holes with cement lor, just make sure its patched nice n flat as in all fairness, these aircon fellas are no wetworks specialist so mus get them to try their best if still not flat, as ur id or contractor to do some additional touch up work should solve e issue
  4. been abit quiet on the thread lately...over the weekend, i am appalled by these rascals who vandalise. the latest act was on the Emergency Exit Staircase Door Hinges, fancy how hard these hinge plates are, these have been deformed to not allow the Emergency Exit door to close appropraitely...what more can we say about our World Class Society
  5. workmanship is bad: 1. the surfaces were scratched (note - its surfaces not surface) - noticed during re-installation but decided to not pursue further as they already made 3 trips for 1 silly installation for their screw ups 2. bottom brackets were not properly tightened (note - its brackets not bracket) - only found out when we started to place stuffs on shelve and shelves tilted 3. shelves were not properly tightened (note - its shelves not shelf) - only found out when we started to place stuffs on shelve and shelves start to tilt 4. corners were knocked and touched up with marker (only found out after moving in) 5. drawer screws were not properly tightened and aluminum edge sharp like knife (only found out when we moved in and attempt to use) 6. installation sucks because: a. alot of markings on the wall but exact mounting location had to be offset b. parquet floor were scratched during the installation and i mean deep scratch given the option to turn back the clock, even if they were to offer the product to me at 50% of what I had paid, i would not even go close to them, its a total turn off. i jus do not wan to go to the extent of taking pixs and posting them online.
  6. no experience on others but i would definitely rule out ALUMIX cos the workmanship is really really really atrocious (terrible word is too mild and kind)...of course can have them rectify but its just too many and too time consuming. not to mention each rectification insures addtional damage upon return. this excludes the other damage to your property too. however, the installers attitude is good, this i cannot discredit them. i jus leave and let live leow
  7. a compromise with look and wanting to be cool, just use aircon. can do away with ceiling fan (nice) and no need to have a white elephant (tower fan)
  8. if u observe the structure of our unit entrance, the door is very weak, especially it is a 2piece door. the gate handle lock is also another joker, which can be picked with minimal difficulty, thus the only true deterent is a padlock provided it is not those low-end cheapo padlock. as for alarm, those are for the Studio Apartments which houses senior citizens, these apartments are equipped with an alarm in the event these senior citizens require any form of assistance for whatever reasons....these alarms are to be activitated within the unit only and is not a security linked alarm
  9. this is scary.....did they mention which floor is that n wat kind of locks were in place
  10. yet one of the another "toad in the well" view of life from the organisation....... i did be curious where did he get educated, if at all i would have told him straight in the face "i have just wasted time talking to you"
  11. i second tis statement, somehow, these service personnel always end up causing some other form of anomaly in the process of resolving your concern. i just cannot comprehend why **** these ppl treat things as though it belongs to themselve..... i am as curious to how they treat their own home.... this is a good idea, doing a Mass Order. Mass Order concept is very effective in obtaining significant discounts from suppliers.....this have to couple with a good plumber
  12. tis throws a very poor image of the company and its senior management. the company can only take this sort of approach because there is no risk of safety involved here, only customer dissatisfaction issues. nonetheless, the brand to me now "stinks" especially if they are already aware of a system flaw but choose to keep their fat bottomline and let the users suffer is a very poor way to do branding.
  13. well u will not miss out the HDMI output feature on your dvd because in this case, your dvd player does not do upscaling, so using component cable is fine. typically if your dvd does upscaling, the only way for your TV to receive the upscaled image (720P/1080i) is only via HDMI and not component.
  14. i was jus thinkin about recycling bins yesterday when i wanted to discard my used 5L Dynamo and 1L Downy bottles. running through my mind where to locate a recycling bin, found none in my mind, these bottles ended going down the central chute. i do agree that with recycling bins, that may end up as a goldmine for scavengers who are desperate to make a living. i have nothing against them just what they do disgust me. it is not the scavenging but the act of scavanging and not returning all the trash into the bin but to the floor. thus i think, singaporeans (in most estates) may not have that level of maturity to ensure a sucessful recycling campaign that gets sucess in western and some of the more upmarket estates in island singapore. it would probably work if they offer a 5cent of 10cent kind of rebate if you bring the empty container to your provision store for your next purchase. this reminds me of the good old days in the late 70's and early 80's....wow this makes me sound old
  15. think karang-guni men was in the estate on Sunday....heard the hand held horn n shoutings
  16. nope i dont but i do know many singaporeans staying there which includes yourself
  17. put up notices in lift lobby for the 3 blocks and leave down a number for them to state if their "bowls" are giving them remnants...would that garner more responses as opposed to just a internet forum thread?
  18. assuming we have more then 50households, not to forget then each household will mean 2 bowls so the total probable defective is 100 bowls leow.... so how do we proof to them that there is back flow after "tua pang sai"....**** n show to them "see the remnants"
  19. they need to rest in the day so they can watch soccer during this period in the nite
  20. went to the PC show yesterday evening, parking was pretty bad so parked at M-Square instead. deals were fair, got meself a Toshiba notebook n SD Card was hopin for Blu-Ray DVD player special deal but none e risk of goin on Sunday is the goodie deals are snapped off
