Is This A Power Point Problem Or Light Bulb Problem?
Pelect replied to Minerat's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Good. Hopefully that will fixed the problem. As pointed out by yoongf, it could be driver incompatibility. If the problem recurs soon after warranty, my preference would be not to buy this brand/combination. CTRL + Q to Enable/Disable GoPhoto.it -
Downlights Led Vs Plc: Very Confuse
Pelect replied to jonatan1312's topic in Electronics & Electricals
I like the E27 type best. No external ballast and I can change to a different wattage in case it's too bright. I am in the process of replacing all my PLC to E27 using energy saving bulb. LED does not justify the cost as mentioned by earlier postings. -
Is This A Power Point Problem Or Light Bulb Problem?

Does your power point trip? When you say power point, do you mean that all the lights are connected to a 3 pin plug and plugged into a power socket? It's hard to pin point but as a first step, I would check for loose connections. Who wired the lights? -
Yes, haiku fan price is now doubled after they sold off the company to Big *** Fan. What a pity. I wanted to install a second one but gave up after the new pricing.

Need Urgent Help On Legrand Water Heater Switch.. Connection
Pelect replied to sgbdk's topic in Electronics & Electricals
What type of timer switch are you using? Most that I have come across are not double pole type. Most are single pole. Can you show a picture of the timer switch both front and back. If possible, show also the wiring diagram if it comes with the timer switch. -
What equipment are you trying to isolate? What is the power rating of the equipment? P=IV so a 20A rating should not exceed theorectical 4.6kW max. and a 32A rating should not exceed theorectical 7.36 kW. This is assuming you only have one equipment connected. You need to make sure your source is at 230V and not 400V and that your source can handle the required power as well.

Choo Chiang Marketing sells most of the branded switches. Nowadays, I don't shop around but just go buy whatever I need from them. I am not affiliated with them. They are located in Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Toh Guan and Balestier.

License/permit For Electrical Rewiring?
Pelect replied to wowach's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Not sure how much though. $300 or $600 to ask SP to test? -
Just to share my experience years ago. I requested to add a few power points and when the job was done, I noticed that the contractor used recycled power sockets instead of new ones! Those of you changing/adding power point sockets, take note. They should look like new and the switches should not be stiff. Preferably specify brand names like MK, Hager, etc. They are not expansive and contractor should not ask for more.

Enclose The Backyard

Retractable probably ok. Fixed type need to have setback. If in doubt, check with BCA but most likely they will say need the setback. -

Which New Launch Condo Is Good

Sant Ritz is too near the road. Noisy and dusty. The new commercial/residential up for tender opposite SR seems much better, especially the ones deeper in.
