Hi, Just my 2 cents as I had just committed our reno to a ID/Contractor firm. Basically they should have a good grasp on the fundamentals as well as the final concept that owner/s are looking for. As posted by wlh (see 2nd posting), get a contractor that is registered with a governing body and insist that the use the Contract/Agreement that has been drafted to suit that particular purpose. It most certainly will stave away the trepidation and unwarranted problems if and when, hopefully not, any disagreement/dispute should rear its ugly head. Good hunting!!
