  1. This is not the way to install wiring, it will trap water in the trunking and cause tripping in future. I can be very sure your electrician got no licence.
  2. It is not true that no electrical wiring is to be install in carpentry, is the contractor who install the wiring never cover up with trunking and just leave bare wire behind or in the cabinet that cannot pass the inspection. ID and contractor will not recommend testing is because there will be no shortcut or under size cable can be use for them to make more money. SCV wont cause life and dead so can close one eye. The ACT is there and is your house you take your own risk. Good luck.
  3. Hi bunnybluey, For SP (PUB) inspection is FOC, you only need to pay your contractor for the LEW to attend to it. A electrician with a licence will not tell you to skip inspection. The guidelines is to make sure the installation safe, Just 1 question, how to justify that your contractor is doing a good job if the installation cant even pass the inspection? BTW under the ACT inspection is a must.
  4. SP is free, only need to pay to your electrician.
  5. A licensed one will do a proper job, if not u can complain to the Authority.
  6. Yes, you can get your electrician to apply for SP services to test for u and you will have a report.
