Thanks! My kitchen sink is "Rubine" brand...about $200+, bought from a neighbourhood hardwareshop near my block. I think a few shops do carry the same brand. Lemme know if you need the exact shop name and address, I will PM you. Have not gotten down to the MBR toilet yet...maybe this weekend will post.

I went to Bali for my honeymoon as well. I stayed in Kuta, Tulamben and Ubud. That time was in November. Did not experience any showers for the 12 days that I was there. I think the rainy season in Bali is very mild and not like the monsoons that we experience in Singapore. As the people before have been trying to tell you, where you should go depends on what you want to do. For myself, Kuta is for the shopping and restaurants and nite life. We did some diving from Kuta as well. There are also quite a few must-go sight seeing places that you can reach easily from Kuta as well(eg Uluwatu and Tanah Lot). There are also a few cheap and good massage/spa places that you can visit in Kuta. Tulamben is purely for the diving and the resort. If you are not a diver, you will be bored there. Ubud is the arts and cultural centre of Bali. There is shopping(mainly arts and handicraft) and eating to be done. You can trawl through the numerous art galleries in the surrounding villages. Ubud has got many boutique spas and hotels that are ideal for a honeymooning couple as well.

Thanks! But I am still missing an AV console cum storage place for my CD/DVD collection. I am now putting my equipment on the floor as well as my old el cheapo AV rack and my centre speaker is resting on an Ikea stool. Been looking around but cannot find something to can match with the decor and can meet my storage needs: 1) Must accomodate 1 CD player/ 1 Pre-Amp/1 Power Amp/1 AVR/1 DVD player/1 future PS3/ 1 future Sub-woofer(maybe this one can put in a corner)/ and have space left for centre speaker on top. Should have some space left for the SCV set-top box and maybe a router. 2) Must be heavy/stable and not prone to vibration. The hifi part preferable made of material like solid top/granite/glass. 3) Should have drawers for the CD/DVD collection and ther other hifi paraphenalia... 4) The look of the AV consol+storage should fit the rest of the decor. We want it low profile and long(Stretching about half to 3/4 length of the hall) As you can see...it will be hard or impossible for an off-the rack solution. So we are thinking getting a carpenter to custom make one....but when we asked for solid top/granite/glass material quotes....the prices were Ideas....anybody? Maybe I should just settle for Medium Density Fibreboard.

Thanks! Good luck to your reno! Here are some pictures

The Sales price was slightly over $200, but we discovered a tiny hairline crack in the white paint/lacquer near the base and they could not offer a replacement as it was the last set....so we bang table...Finally, they let us have another $50 off or something like that. Actually, you can try Air Division...think they might be having Sales...I saw a very nice side table there.

Thanks for the info! So far quite satisfied with the WC. If I understand you correctly, it means I can buy this and retrofit my WC with this flushing system, correct? Currently nothing wrong with flush, so I will consider only if the current flush no longer works.

The wall decal was bought from Goodrich. If you have put airfix models together before, it shouldn't be difficult at all. For mine, because it was quite large, I required my wife to help out by holding on/tensioning the decal as I was applying it to the wall. Just make sure you take the measurements properly first My LG is just a washer. The model is LG TROMM, Direct Drive 8kg, WD - 14361TD...Think it was about $800+ at Mustafa.

Hi! Hi! I have the same W.C as you! Can you tell me more about the Geberit Flushing System? What does it do that is better than the normal flushing system and where to get it? How much did you pay for yours? Thanks!

Another thing we got from Life Story was this Fat Guy. +

Managed to get a some items from the recent Life Story sale. One was a white side table for the living room, another was a block of carved mango wood as a display stand/stool. Over the last weekend, we bought a wall decal and painstakingly put it up.

Thanks for that. My wife and I don't know much about fengshui and are motivated by the aesthetics of a water feature. Never kept fishes before and we are concerned with the maintenance part of a water feature. Let's say we don't want to keep fishes(another added complication), does that mean that it that the pump has to be constantly on? Are there any additives that we can put into the water to prevent mosquito breeding and algea from forming? WE don't want the water feature to become a white elephant.

Hi! Hi! Sorry for hijacking this thread but my wife has been quite insistent on getting a water feature. For a long time, I resisted because: - I think that water features need to change water every now and then - There can be algae/fungi growing on it after some time. - I like the sound of running water that a water feature provides as much as the next person, just not the whole day - Consumes electricity when on, breeds mosquioes when off. Can anybody convince me that this is not the case? I am not saying no to a water feature, just saying that I need to be convinced first.

Kekeke! We tried Magic mop too....its effective for normal wiping. But for fur....vacuum cleaner still the best. No headache.

Sorry, havn't gotten down to taking the pictures of the MBR toilet yet, but here is a picture of the storage area and the entrance.....as you can see, I am very imaginative with colours.

I am also using Rubine Sink. I like the design of the one I bought because of the extra big filter/catchment area under the sink(dunno what is the proper term for it). All the tiny food scraps are caught by a small perforated pail for easy disposal later. It also comes with a small area inset for you to keep your wet sponges and it has its own overflow drainage. There is also a attachment for a small wire basket and there is enuff space for you to drill and install a soap dispenser.

I am not sure it has anything to do with the inlet pipe tap. I think the inlet tap will control the speed at which the cistern refills but not how effective the flush will be. How effective the flush will be will probably depend on the capacity of the cistern,ie how much water it can hold and available for flushing. If there is a leak, like in the case of lawry...then you have less water to flush with. And it has a lot to do with the shape/design of the toilet bowl itself. A good design will channel the water effectively for a strong flush. You may not even need a lot of water, if the design is good. I hope that in your case it is a leak because it can be easily repaired. However, I am not a W.C engineer, I recommend you check with your plumber.

Agree. Up to 100Mbs and no security problems and no or less disconnects. Ideal for streaming media to display TV/Projector. Inexpensive too. I have a LAN cable running from my study to the front of my hall. I just wished I thought of wiring up my master bed room as well as hiding a printer or router in a cupboard or storeroom.

Thanks! I was inspired to take photos of the vacuum cleaner because of how some parts of it looked like a car.

Haha! Thanks for looking. There is a very small kid in the neighbourhood that always mistakes him for a cat. Always tells his Mom," Ma! Look! Got cat!" Yes, as a pet owner, I know exactly what you mean. My dog sheds fur like there's no tomorrow. If I don't vacuum, I will soon have furballs all over the house. The solution is to brush my dog's fur regularly to prevent the build up of the undercoat....this will only reduce the problem. Next, keep his fur short...like a puppy. Next, get a powerful vacuum cleaner with HEPA filter. Hi s&s We got it from NTUC Hub at $300+(sorry, cannot remember exactly how much). Came with a free gift of a year's supply of bags(in addition to the one that is already included with the vacuum cleaner) as well as a free set of HEPA filters. It will dry the toilet, just a matter of how long it takes....If I had to do it again, I would have gone for the eight inch fan instead of the six inch one....my wife thinks the six inch one looks cuter and uses less electricity. As for the windows, I think the price is about there lah....of course, it will depend on the type of windows you want. Plain glass is cheapest. The type of window frame as well as the finishing also add to the cost. I had to pay extra for white powder coated finish. In all, I think my windows came up to about $3.1k.

Not sure what is your defination of good for a vacuum cleaner. For me, this one meets the requirement of being powerful, long retractable extension cord, large capacity bag and adjustable power levels. You need to know if you want a conventional vacuum cleaner with bag or the bagless type. Or you can look those with a cyclonic action or water filtered types, or wet vacuum cleaner, etc....
