  1. Hi Wengdave! Welcome to the estate! congratulation on your acquisition! It must be not easy as the demand higher than supply still despite of the cooling measures. Heard from another neighbour she did not even have a chance to view a unit on the advertised open house day as it was sold 2 days after advert appear in the market. After meeting many ID companies in the beginning, comparing quotes and ideas, I engaged Marcus from Bara interior to do it in the end. They are known for hassle free reno experience, they can be auto pilot mode if u are busy. He is quite good and prompt, still answer my queries even when on holiday overseas. He is quite patient too, especially I always take the problems and quotes I read from renotalk stories and ask him. I am quite happy he is onsite coordinating all the ppl, and give instructions personally. His contractors are quite professional, no problem with workmanship so far. I like his electrician best. help me do conceal wiring because he like it nice nice and dun mind extra work. when I share with him the story of our fellow reno former's light drop, he added special heavy duty wall plug for my light even though it is quite light. But if you want contractor instead of ID then maybe can try the famous renotalk Mr K (HP: 9022 2321) PM me if you want to come and take a look at the finished product, it should be done in 2-3 weeks' time.
  2. ID says By this week... Window will be up, shower screen up, glass door up, carpentry up, etc... Suddenly everything fastforward... Tempo picked up... I must arrange for fan installation n order my Jupiter Delphi ASAP !
  3. My sinks have arrived! all safe and sound. But too heavy to open them...
  4. I am puzzled... why do the worker acid washed some newly tiled areas and left out some? But overall happy that even though ID is our of town, things are moving still... the plumber work, acid wash, carpentry order is placed, window n grilles are ordered, glass door and bi-fold door ordered... now waiting for taobao loots to arrive with my 4 sinks, hopefully by this Monday all delivered to my place. Bought an IKEA dinning table, delivering in 2 weeks' time, hopefully the place is ready by then... at least the debris is clear and chemical wash by then.
  5. Maybe you can try installing a ventilation fan in the bathroom to 'suck' the moisture out, keeping bathroom dry and discourage mold growth too. My ID's boss always recommend it for his clients whether HDB or private.
  6. Royal fanco delivery is prompt, Henry even make the delivery himself.. bring all my fans and bathroom accessories, WC was from the warehouse ppl, took a little longer but called before coming..
  7. Looks like our renovation will end around the same time... I like your radical layout! it is a pity.. but your new one is a practical and a good one u have come up with! my 2cents' worth: just wondering will u have enough clearance bet the fridge and the front load washer? Maybe rotate the fridge such that it faces the washer may help abit?
  8. Interesting windows , suitable for temperate countries, but for Singapore, I wonder do we need a tilt window for the warm air to escape ? Don't think the room full of warm air will escape as outside is warmer air... neither will the indoor warm air cause fogging on the window unless it rain very very heavily.. If Grilles installed outside meaning window is opened on the inside, not hindering the corridor, higher chance of approval. Anyway will pray for you to get ur approval soon!
  9. Got a problem at the moment. ID just pointed out yesterday that the chimney hood is to be placed on this wall that has the beam protruding out... Will appreciate any suggestions! *update* ID company furniture team will settle for me. Yeah!!
  10. Congrats on your EM purchase! I was advised by a industrial hood service crew that it is the design that make a hood efficient. The suction rate not much difference since most is bet 800 to 1000m3/hr.
  11. Learnt a lot from your blog which documented with details. I like your illustrations from ur phone, they speaks a lot. We have quite a few similar purchases: the citygas dryer, Crestar fans and the TB sink mixer. A side note, I think Crestar showroom price is higher than the price I bought from royal fraco at jalan besar... a difference of $80 per aerolite series fan I think.
  12. waiting for the hob delivery... from 11 to 1pm still have not come.. but the Mega lady called me at 1.11pm to check if delivered or not before I even call her to find out. *thumbs up* very responsible... if only her delivery team is as efficient... now I have to wait for 1 to 3pm... anyway the lady knew I enquired from Jerome aka zero in the forum... but bought from Joe from MEga... I wonder if Jerome aka zero is from MEga? Hmm... -------------------------------------- Wait from 11am till 5pm still no call no hob... only to find out at 6pm it is alrdy delivered but no call!! waste my time
  13. Hmm.. Think I will be going to their showroom to take a look to compare and find out more... International Plaza 10 Anson Road #02-86 MiracleSG u can email them your queries, they are quite efficient in answering mine.
  14. Hi miraclesg! I think for alphion mx, the acid water come out from a seperate tubing. Delphi is come with a faucet, filter system is undercounter. While alphion mx is on the counter system which u can place it on the countertop or wall mount. Then run a separate the acid water tube into the sink. Not quite sure if I got that right... But thanks for pointing out alphion mx system, it look nice compare to mavello when I first target before change target to delphi due to purely aesthetic factor. Yet to find out which outlet does pH 7 water flow out... Maybe both just like when alkaline water flow out, acid water also flow out.
  15. I will try after I move in and update again if it is helpful to my family.
  16. Hi Alfredt! I am new to it too. I understand it is a water filter system that does more than water filtering. Other than filter, it has the option of ionizes the water to alkaline and acidic. Alkaline water for drinking and acidic for washing (of fruits, brush teeth, bath). According to the website http://kemptrading.com/info2.asp?id=303 Alkaline Ionized Water Benefits! pH Balance – A Key to Healthy LivingThe human body tends to maintain body fluid at pH 7.35 according to the homeostasis function. It tries to maintain the balance of each organ with alkaline bodt fluid of pH 8.8 from the pancreas as the peak. However, a consistent acidic condition will result in lowering one’s immune system. Alkaline ionized water with pH 8.5-11 helps to counter the harmful effects of acidic wastes build-up. Abundant antioxidant – Combats Free radicalsImagine having the ability to convert normal rap or filtered water into anatioxidant water with a negative oxidation reduction potential (-ORP) that retards the ageing process. A high or rising positive ORP (+ORP) causes oxidation that in turn causes ageing. The –ORP from an ionizer is effective in counteracting this process. Alkaline ionized water renews our bodies at the cellular level. This is as close as it gets to reach the Fountain of Youth! Highly Oxygenated Water – Boosts Metabolism (Micro-oxygenation)The other antioxidant property of Jupiter is the high quantity of dissolved oxygen in the form of hydroxyl ions (OH-). These oxygen atoms with an extra electron attached to them is similar to antioxidants such as vitamin A, C and E. It combats free radicals that are unstable oxygen molecules which cause damage to the body cells and helps to boost metabolism and immunity. Alkaline ionized minerals (Ca2+) – Restore pH balanceAlkaline ionized water gives you minerals in ionized form that are easily assimilated into the body. These ionized minerals are not only good for building strong bones and teeth, but they are also vital in dissolving acidic deposits at joints that cause various problems such as Arthritis, Gout and Rheumatism. Smaller water clusters – Microcluster and Hexagonal EffectAlkaline ionized water molecule clusters are smaller than other types of water. It is this smaller size that helps to hydrate cells more efficiently. It is also a great transport in excreting waste matter from the body rapidly. This helps the body to detoxify and provides for better hydration.
  17. Yes, there will be a tap at the corner to dispense alkaline water for direct drinking. acidic water will be collected for washing.
  18. Highlight of reno progress next week 30 Jul Tue - Hob delivery bet 11 to 1pm 31 Jul Wed - Delivery of aerogaz hood Delivery of WC and other things from Royal Franco at 1pm Town gas turn on at ??? 1 Aug Thurs- Citygas heater installation 2.30pm
  19. called Mega to arrange for the hob delivery... took me many redials to get thru the line then was put on hold for a long time 2 times before finally got joe(the saleman I ordered from) on the line. I told him I was put on hold for very long Then he said I should have ask for him earlier, he always do his best to answer phonecall... He sounded more upset than me.. Anyway he help me arrange the hob to be deliver the hob next tue. then pay only when fridge is delivered.
  20. Bought 4 Crestars aerolite, then the Crestar call me saying they will deliver the box is skylite model, saying it is the same except the 3D blades which they will pack it in for me.... like that also can... ... Called royal franco Lena back and realise they dun install the fans, my ID contractor also dun do fan installation... but she can arrange for me installation at $40 per fan, she advise after paint work then install. So KIV installation till then.
  21. I understand what you mean.. There is a lot of baby stuffs to house: playpen, cots, play yard, rocking horse, building blocks, balls, train set, play doh set, jig saws, books (cloth type, plastic type, board books, etc), clothes, diaper station,.. We have to get creative with storage, and be prudent with the buying. Let go (of stuffs once bb outgrow them) when possible.
  22. It is $3080 I think. Can pay by installment with credit card. It is the only faucet system. It is nicer than having a countertop one, that would be an eyesore. Function wise think same at $1800 mavello. Filter cost $150 for 6000L of water. http://kemptrading.com/dispitem.asp?itemid=939&pcat=158 The bidet with auto off valve function! Just learn that bidet valve r meant to be close at all time otherwise the bidet will spoil very quickly as it is not built to withstand water pressure.
  23. Planning to buy a undercounter alkaline water system - Jupiter Delphi ionizer... Not sure how things will work out...
  24. Went to buy stuffs yesterday.. Start from mega, bought Samsung fridge at $1888 but was charged an additional $50 for delivery... $1020 for rinnai inner flame hob RB 3CG all from Joe at novena. He was the only one around at 11am. He served me quickly as there was a returning customer waiting for him. Then went to royal Franco, did not get to check all 3 shops along the street, din wan to tire out my parents with the walking... Bought 2wc 1 pc magnum brand 2 ticks, $350 each, bought ceiling fans too... But forget to check if they can install for me! Bought bathroom hand grip too n the ceiling laundry hooks n arino bidet $58 each. Lena was very helpful and none pushy. Very pleasant shopping experience. Met a nice ID / contractor who is very friendly and he ended up suggesting things we can get for our house like we r his clients. Forget to mention actually at royal Franco, they also sell hood and hob, laundry systems, sinks, grohe things (he mentioned now got worthwhile promotion for grohe shower system with basin tap at $700++) Citygas called to say I can't get the rinnai heater as I dun have a service yard... Tot I saw in Renotalk someone installed one in kitchen beside window... *sad* got Macro one instead... Then I realise this heater need a electrical power point...
