:sport-smiley-004:It has been a while since I last come here... It has been about 6 mths I settled in.. Time for some quick reviews... First it is a great buy ..never regret.. very windy n neighbours are very friendly, polite and nice! Remind me of the hostels' in uni times.. Space planning wise.. I have a very windy kitchen given that I hacked the half wall.. NO need fan, no need to perspire white doing food preparation anymore. Overall happy with the plans. Review of carpentry: white laminate is a little challenging for perfectionist... after 2 mth I give up.. surprisingly no more new stains since then.. lol 2 of my drawers tracks is not smooth, called up the ID and He sent his man down.. they r very gracious to replace for me .. at the same time give me upgrade option at a discount... which I decide against.. happy with the current ones... Review of appliances: Samsung FRIDGE was a failure.. they change a new one for me, end up it has more problems than the first.. They offered full refund. thank God for that. I got the Hitachi Fridge instead.. IT is serving me well.. love the vacuum compartment and the large capacity. The city gas dryer and heater is serving us well.. bill wise it is ok.. no major increase in gas usage. I will recommend to friends in future. Crestar and amasco ceiling fans are doing well.. they are quite chilly.. so usually medium speed is what I need in the hot afternoon.. That is all for now. Cheers!

Thanks Dreamcatcher! the sink is serving us well. It is like the Kraus sink, its base has the coating. The installation must use the provided outlet hose. Do ask your plumber be generous with the silicon sealant during installation of the sink outlet fitting to ensure it is watertight. The outlet is not the typical type, so all the debris throw in the sink, water can still flow down. I bought the chopping board as well, but because I do undermount so it does not fit as well but still can use.

Yup, they r from ikea. Billy bookshelf n besta. I got them to deliver n assemble for me as no time to DIY. the 2 experts took nearly 4 hours to do up the shelves n a dining table... Given my skills n lack of tools, maybe need 4 days or more...

Laundry room (only white light zone) Sink and Tap from Taobao $199 light from IKEA not very bright.. very expensive I like this laundry room which I have asked to be created. Very comfortable space to handwash baby items. The laundry sink is deep, like a large pail except easy to fill and drain. we are citygas supporter! Glad there is enough allowance to open the washer lid.

Kitchen Did not intend to tile the wall, but ID found this interesting wall tile so we try it and we.... LOVE it! Aerogaz hood installed by ID's furniture dept. They overcome the problem where the wall is not flat as usual. Special Thanks to a helpful and a great problem solver: SAM My taobao Sellena (aka Kraus) sink, Germany blanco Tap and Jupiter Delphi water system. And my frying pan clock which I got from TB. I am impressed with the dish drainer provided by BARA. At first was quite sad to see the dish drainer provided by some ID...

Finally, we are almost at the end of the journey. The product is above expectations and journey has no major issue other than the TB kitchen tap leak. All credits go to my ID (Marcus from BARA interiors) and his team. I have learn alot about renovation and online shopping. As well as the 'sharing is caring' spirit in the renotalk forum. Thus will hang around to contribute to this community with my 2 cents worth. From initial renovation idea of modern cottage, nautical feel to current 'a little English' feel. I asked the customer service if it qualifies for free shipping, they say it is but their system not able to show the option when checkout at the moment. So they advise me to checkout with the shipping cost but they will refund it back to me. And they did.

The renovation is almost done! All carpentry is up, all walls painted, all lightings are up, floor is polished, window grilles are up, all sinks are installed without much dramas. Then today is the last tap installation, hiccup occurred. The tap I bought from taobao is leaking in the middle... not sure if it is product's defect or installation problem. Do not want to affect the renovation progress, I went to hoe kee to buy a Germany Blanco kitchen tap. Something simple in design but still has the pull out function. On the hindsight, it is also go that the first tap did not work out, as the filter system has another faucet, it will look a bit cluttered as it was quite big and has too many outlet. Meanwhile more online shopping, while waiting for the delivery of the curtains, water filter system and fridge.

My 1 cent worth: I think for SS kitchen sink, undermount or top mount also can.
