Been busy with work lately. Reno completed, moved in for about a month. Still looks a bit bare. Don't really know how to decor the place. Will post some pictures soon.

I used the wood tiles for the kitchen floor, it's rough enough. The corridor in front of my unit is super wide. Not likely it will get wet from rain.

We bought the WC and some other accesories from Alan's recommended shop at AMK.Price is quite similar as those shop at Jalan Besar. So he'll arrange for the delivery for us. The auspicious date to move in for us early June. But we can still let him touch up until end of June.

In the end we use the typical floor trap, stainless steel instead of the plastic one. Tiling finished on Monday. Plastering started on Tuesday, 90% done by end of today. Rewiring will start tmr after the plastering work. WC installlation & plumbing will also start tmr. Might be meeting carpenter this sat.

The extra room is behind the kitchen. It has the most windows and the best view.

Yes.. He and his 2 workers are good. Bought this floor trap a bit too late, as the waterproofing has been done, can't install it anymore Got it from Heritage Bathroom. It's a hidden floor trap, as shown at Sohnice's t-blog http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/45539-3-room-hdb/page-11 Bought it at $30 each Willing to let go at $40 for 2. Any takers?

After reading tons of t-blog here, we decided to just engage a contractor for our renovation. We have a basic idea what we want, not much money left to engage an ID. We asked for quotes from 3 famous contractors from this forum, Yeak, Roy, Alan. All came back with about the same price --- 30k! I guess that's the market price for a typical renovation for a 3room flat from a contractor. In the end we choosed Alan because his quote seems the most complete.

Start sourcing for a resale end of last year. After viewing for 10+ units, we finally settled for 3room flat at AMK. Liked it because it's "Upgraded", there's an additional utility room behind. Here's the original layout
