Got change toilet x 2, window grills, that's about it We also gotta come out more $ b4 moving in hehehe I also cannot live w the current state... was trying to DIY something to make the place more pleasant... like... painting the toilet and kitchen floor tiles hehehehe~ Still not at the stage that we want to move in yet... R u planning to move in asap?

Yup, estate upgrade, with interior upgrade of toilets for each unit~ Well, I guess it is good... but... it also means that all works may have to be delayed till the upgrade is completed. My HB was suggesting to do the reno only after upgrade so as to reduce the hassle of cleaning up during upgrade and to reduce the risk that the reno will get damage during the upgrade... X_X

Hi white affair Yesh, gotten the keys le... unfortunately.. the upgrade went thru! just got the news from hdb website today... sianz... now dunno how... What about u??? Any news on when u'll get the keys??? BTW, sorry for the long reply, was busying trying to draw my dream kitchen =P

Actually, I also dunno wat defects are there... I didn't check when the officer open the door for us to see =X Thought is after get keys then check mah~~~ anyway, now must think of deco, never go think abt hdb any more hehehehhee~ U must keep urself happy too k~

You're luckier~~ HDB change the gate and help solve the window problem for you. =D Yesh! It is kinda funny! We are basically paying $ to see the flat, but, IF don't want that flat, must requeue / pray for next WIS! Well, "acceptable standards" really varies to personal opinion I think. Usually the HDB officer will think it is acceptable and the consumer will think it is not! hehehehe~ Thank you! The plan is to collect tmlr, hack care the defects thingee le... today the nephew and niece screammm sooooo loud i really think defects are better then my ear drums bursting! lolzz

CONGRATS! Glad ur persistance got them to do it nicely! Mine was like... i went out in the afternoon go get some electric appliances info, the.. HDB branch officer called the house, and told my MIL (upon hearing i not back yet) that HDB is like dat one, they did a valuation and sell us 'cheap' because of the state of the flat. like... to me it's like saying you already get cheap le, y so much trouble... still wanna report defects X_X Actually, I thought the valuation is base on the location and the unit height as well as the building age? Think will go on plan, tomorrow go take keys bah. Did they let you know approximately when u can take your keys???

OMG! so it's not that the officers forgot to tell us only O_O I just called up the branch office, they say must have finish inspection and told them le. Said can try speak to the officer that show us the place, but he is not around now >< Anyway, my hb was like anyway u wanna rehaul the place, dun get so worked up lar >< Abit sad still, like got kept in the 'dark' about the procedures T_T So glad they get it done for you! Did they like do a good job? Took a loooooonnnggg time??? I actually hope to get mine done asap so I can move in. staying w PIL now. Don't feel like delaying getting the keys! =P

Hi White Affair, Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I just called HDB and asked about it, they told me I must have told the officer during the inspection! But.. we didn't know that we got to check for defects, we thought the viewing is just to let us see the place X_X Seems like abit too late, since we are going to get the keys this Sat >< The officer did mention that once get keys = case close, since no one year 'guarentee' for RP old flats... BTW, the HDB website actually states "Upon collection of keys, flat owners should inspect their new flat and report any defects found in the flat within seven days upon receipt of the keys or before commencement of any renovation works." thus we thought must get keys then can report lolzz, sotong first timers =P Cheers~

Hi! Does any one know if I had purchased a flat from HDB that is like 30 yr old, RP, can I still request HDB to rectify defects? I mean... it is definitely not in 'original, move-in' condition any more =P
