    Tks for the pic marcel! This belongs to one of the Renotalkers too! I remember asking him/her for a review of the hood and Citygas dryer. Was trying to look for the t-blog but can't remember the title. Now I can show this pic to my ID and say... "See? Not so bad what!" LOL

    My ID got a shock when I told him I already ordered that hood.. Kept asking me if I'm very sure abt my choice and to be prepared for the shock LOL! But like what Songz said, I'd rather have a useful hood for my heavy cooking than one which only looks gd but doesn't do its job well. If it's just light cooking or we don't cook, I'll be more than glad to do without a hood!

    How can we not be surprised?? Lol! Didn't know we can negotiate for free shipping! I wanted to get some copper cookware but the shipping cost alone was $100+! Maybe I can try to get them to waive it for me. Tks for the tip babe! I am seriously considering the Kraus now and I'm in love with their apron sink. My hubby's gonna kill me hahahaha!

    I agree. I believe a home should look and feel like a home and not picture perfect like a showflat. The white Blanco sink is a beauty! Any maintenance issues so far?

    9th Jan: Went to my place at noon. Kitchen walls cement screeded and cabinet base is up! Then in the afternoon i found out frm my ID that they have started to work on the kitchen wall tiles too! ID will liaise with Citygas for them to come in and do the piping for the heater and dryer. Today, 10th Jan, false ceiling and partition guys will start work. I will probably pop over to take a look again as I can't wait to see how my kitchen wall tiles will look like!! Thankfully my in-laws' place is just a few bustops away.. Can u imagine if my place is at Punggol?! Lol

    Wow those tiles! Im mad abt prints and I wish I could have those tiles in my home too! How did u manage to convince ur hubby to go for those tiles? Or does he like them too?? U are really tempting me to get a Kraus!!

    Awesome! *high-five* Hey guys! Tks for "visiting"! I'm expecting tiling works to complete by next week. We decided to use the existing aircons so the aircon guys have dismantled and brought it back to do the overhaul. Now have to get a window contractor to install windows for my balcony A.S.A.P.! All the items I ordered from Taobao have arrived Peeka's receiving centre in China. This includes rainshowers, bathroom taps and accessories, kitchen tap, dining chairs and more! Waiting for Peeka to pack and ship out! Hey mellenur, I'm a SAHM too but my husband is a clean freak and helps around the house so whatever he insisted on having, I just tell him.. "Ok lor.. U clean" LOLEh errr I'm using this tile for my kitchen walls, not toilet. I do not want to risk scratching my son too hahaha!

    Poor gingerbreadmen! Lol! Tmr is the start of the 3rd week. So far hacking done, electrician came and tiles have arrived. I think tiling should start this week.

    Lol agree it looks gd but it's the comfort which comes first before looks for us! Now having a headache on where to get a nice comfy sofa.. Went back to Comfort today but nothing suitable for us sighhh U mean, "What baby u looking for?" HAHAHAHA Not too sure on Crestar direct.. We only checked 1 shop. Must research more on this.

    AT THE END OF WEEK 1: Son's bedroom walls hacked! Kitchen walls hacked! Bathrrooms' tiles, WC, basin, etc were removed too! AT THE END OF WEEK 2: Electrician came in to set up power points, run wiring etc. Tiles are here too! I believe tiling should start next week! We have been changing our plans for the living and dining so once we firm things up then I shall edit my layout plan lol

    Seems like I'm among the rare ones who dislike the Papa Bear chair lol! Tried it at Comfort but hubby and I felt it wasn't that comfortable. Tried several other armchairs as well and will be getting one from Ikea instead which we felt was the best. That feeling when u just sink in it and never wanna get up! Mellenur, I can't read Chinese too and used Google Translate to shop in Taobao and TMall, and am going through Peeka for the deliveries. Praying hard the shipping cost won't gimme a heart attack! We're eyeing Crestar fans too and the Icol series look good enough!

    I tried to search for "copper pots" and other simlar terms in Taobao but could not find it! So I decided to buy frm Amazon.. But now that u've given me the links, looks like I'll order these for my next Taobao shipment which will include kitchen and household stuff! Heh! THANKS GREG!
