Samsung Fridge Best Denki staff told us that samsung two door fridge is better than any other brands because the two separate storage areas have individual air flow system. Try slamming the door hard and you will realise that the other door does not move at all. Indeed, tried for both samsung and LG. LG's door will move! Might not be taking 2 door fridge tho, too big for two and I have lesser top to work on. To discuss further on this!

After lightings, met roy to re-select my tiles for common toilet. Ended up changing my grey wall tiles to a brighter grey, and having a white feature wall! woots. in love with my tiles! Also gonna have mosaic... *grins* Changed to this! he had suggested this! but don't really like it still prefer something like this! with a main feature wall =) \ and this.. I still havent get my 3d drawing. Was told he will chase the designer for it. Roy also said that he will give us a schedule. LOL. His new staff is helping to oversee our project and help to bug him on it at times. good for us i guess! hahaha. He also showed us how well the wall was hacked without hurting my living room tiles. Can see he is very satisfied with his workers. hahaha. of course, i did tell him that it is indeed a job well done! Shall take a close up photos to show u all. =))

Went to get home appliances and lightings today! So I will be getting track lights for kitchen! woohooo! ID spot on with his suggestion to my idea. Hubby gave in. (i won) Didn't get that today. Gotta head my way down to balstier one day. Damage to wallet! ignore the honeywell, not part of the damage today but ya, it's gonna be at the new house too! So for appliances, bought my bread toaster, iron, vacuum cleaner, steam cleaner! Lightings, got a chandelier for master bedroom, 2 normal for bedroom, one dining light, 2 toilet lights... Jason Young of Philips attended to us, patient guy who joke with us and yet still answered all of our questions with no annoyance at all. Thumbs up for him! shall write in my compliment letter for him! chandelier i wanted to get to get this for future bb room! but worried that it will be too kiddish! so in the end didnt get it. awww and dining lights! similar cover but in a straight row! happy with my buys today! Wanted to get the other chandelier at the back of the pic. But Jason advised against it, cause it will turn yellowish. oh well. practicality taken into consideration!

Hacking started! Went to check the progress, all hacked and the kitchen wall is also down (after approval from HDB). Windows up! Thanks to Jimmy from Jit Sheng Aluminium. I love my new windows as compared to the old style brown windows! Brighten up the house instanteneously. I have also shopped for appliances but ya, too lazy to post them up at times. Cause it's like no one reads anyway. HAHA. But, decided to continue because at least there's a testimonial for all the stores/ ids/ etc and sorta prove I am his customer and not him, doing it. Doubt he has the time to do such things anyway Changing one of my tiles because I didn't quite like what he suggested. OOPs. I know too well what I prefer, oughta say no the day itself. Window of the rooms opaque glass for corridor room while clear for kitchen, master and common room.. =) Happy with my windows. I'm so happy that hub likes it too, when he initially objected to the idea of changing the windows. All thanks to my dear mother in law who persuaded him to change everything at one go, dirty also dirty once, pay and shiong for the wallet at one go *feels like giving her a big hug* Also thumbs up for Jimmy of Jit Sheng Aluminium! Called me on Monday to check when he can get the windows up and wednesday, he is there to do up the windows. =) kitchen wall down! Shall find a day to buy drinks for him and his workers.. The wall panel on the right hand side will be extended. So that when i walk in I will not see the kitchen windows. A little pantang here... Mmm.. MBR toilet, all gone. Can't take common toilet cause all lights gone for both kitchen and common toilet Wall corners gone.. wires exposed! Tiles!! My tiles are here!! Roy is efficient.I still feel he is rather experienced, and he probably will not give u a schedule too. Cause to him is, he will get things done in the end. same pattern as hub.. Oh and he will also drop a message to inform that he is overseas. No worries of suddenly can't contacting him, none of the kind of frustrations and all. Shall post photos of the appliances next.. Saturday met up with Roy. Went to new house, did up all the marks on what is to be dismantled or hacked and what's not. Also layed floor protection. Very happy to get this started. Perhaps a little weird since I have not gotten my 3D drawings. It's like he is so familiar with what is going on until he perfectly knows what he needs to do. 3D drawing of kitchen and living expected latest this or next week. Bedroom 3 - Built in wardrobe here Master Bedroom - Built in wardrobe, 2 ft fake wall where the beam is (so I can place my bed in the middle of room), Master toilet Living Room - wallpaper, tv console, windows Supposedly dining area - But we are not placing anything here. Nothing done for this area, except for hacking away the kitchen wall that links to this dining area. ITEMS MARKED TO DISMANTLE Wall Corners kitchen cabinets/ kitchen wall tiles .

Hello, its 4.88% on monthly rest package.

One thing was my friend warned me about homogenous tiles, certamic tiles. Called up Lian Seng Hin on the tiles I have chosen. Apart from my master toilet tiles, the rest are porcelain tiles. Kitchen wall tiles are ceramic. Was told that it is still as hardy and can be used for outdoors. Therefore, it is still ok. However, when asked others, I was told to avoid ceramic tiles at all cost. The thing is, porcelain is in the mid of ceramic and homogenous tiles. So... how bad is bad for porcelain tiles? Is it really that bad till it shouldn't even be considered? Planning to ask Roy when we meet up tomorrow. Also one more thing that I forgotten to add on. Roy wanted to start on renovation coming Monday! But we haven't even gotten any news about our loan. Very nice guy, I will say! He just say, no worries since we are gonna do renovation anyway. If it's not approved, try another bank! hehe. I'm surprised he's not worried we will run away. LOL. Also just to share. I was talking to my brother in law. Before reno, please buy apple, orange, li (pear), banana and pineapple to pray. Then, at every corner of the house, to throw rice. After all this, to use a hammer to knock (i don't know where yet) to signify that renovation is gonna start. Happy renovation all. =)

I was busy with work so much that I missed to post on few more things down! Submitted my renovation loan on Saturday, pending for approval now! Then on the same day, went to Lian Seng Hin to choose my tiles! Very happy and tiring progress! One thing I must say, I'm very surprise that Roy actually allows us to choose tiles even before we pay him! So here goes the picture of the tiles I have chosen! KITCHEN TILES COMMON TOILET TILES Roy has an idea about the common toilet tiles, whereby he will use the all black tile and cut it into thin slabs. Then, it will alternate with the wall tile we have chosen (grey) like tic-tac-toe for the feature wall of common toilet. I can't really picture it. Therefore, gonna ask him whatsapp a picture or probably show us in the 3D =) then, my MASTER TOILET I really like the feature wall of the master toilet! *loves* I'm really getting egg-cited over this! =)

Hello jaff so sorry, i haven't log in nor update! I wouldn't be changing the living room tiles. Only changing my kitchen tiles because of the design i want! A little waste, but let's hope all worth's it!

Went to meet up the ID on Saturday at new house. Happy to say that I will be choosing tiles on Saturday! Yes, there will also be 3d Drawings... I just need to get my renovation loan done up. Considering DBS's renovation loan because it is on monthly rest! So don't get confused peeps, and think that a lower number = lesser interest. Got to know that by straining my eyes and calculating the interest for comparison sake. Keeping my fingers crossed and may my loan be approved! I have also taken some pictures of new house. Thing is, I really feel that the previous owner maintained it well. Only cons of the house is the level of the house and some issues we are facing with it now - thanks to previous owner (Guess that explains much).

So I guess, to keep this alive as much as I can - I shall write down my experiences with the other IDs. I feel that by writing it down, it will help one another more or less. Happen to hear about Artrend from a friend's friend who had her house done up by them. Indeed 90% similar to 3d picture! So met up with Cynthia of Artrend. Very very sweet and courteous lady. She had a bachelor in interior designing! Goes to see how much Artrend is willing to fork out to hire professionals. (A lot are using our neighbours, they are good too but also surprise to see locals having a bachelor in it) Had my quote and all, understand that Artrend has their own carpentry workshop, so the materials are good and of course slightly more expensive. Like I say, pay for what you get.. Why I didn't pick her if I sang praises? Because overall, I still have a budget to stick to, and due to some personal reasons too. If budget allows, I will definitely pick Artrend, or at least it's few of my top choices.. Met up with Peter of Ideal house Ideal house is very much raved because of Kenneth. However, Peter picked up my query online. Had a little miscommunication way ahead and instead of coming to my house, he waited at his office. This is not really an issue of course, because he genuinely had the idea that it is at his office. Very experienced guy, gave advices on what to do and what not. Gave suggestions which I really appreciate as well. Most importantly, he is very ON. HAHA. He is the one who responds the fastest, provides the quote the fastest and even the amended quotes etc. Very courteous person also, so I have no idea why would other people said he has an attitude. Pity that I didn't choose him, one of the better choice too. Another was Eden from * Interior. Young guy who has been in the industry for 6-7 years. He knows his stuff as well and his designs are nice. Also, * Interior is giving away $3300 worth of items, which you can deduct $3300 off if you do not want those. We had not thought of going to N-W initially. Until we heard that N-W is a big company, BUT famous for doing up things within a reasonably price. And indeed, price are really ok and not like other big companies. Understand that if you are to bring N-w Interior's quote to other big companies, they will not want to do your business. Again, never choose him because my hub still prefers another - One guy super raved about and has many many good comments. In fact, we have heard from someone in the stone industry that this guy is good at his works and one thing, has very good after sales service. None other than IR Design's Roy. There was also Brian from Woodedge interior. Went to see his works, pretty good too. Most importantly, his pricing is also good hahaha. However, we still go for the one most raved about. Haha. We are so scared of the pay peanuts get peanuts issue after our wedding. (We also hope we don't pay almond price and get monkeys too). Everything is about taking a risk I guess. There are still many many quotes I have gotten. Will not say all - my posts are far too boring already. Hahaha. I will start to post pictures of my home when I meet up the ID on saturday.

Our Layout. I will be hacking away the kitchen door, and extending the wall facing the main door. A little superstitious here - Do not like it when I open the main door and I see the kitchen windows! Re-doing up the kitchen and 2 toilets, built in wardrobes for 2 rooms and just TV console.
