I went to Sembawang Lighting at Sembawang Road yesterday 5 may 2013. The prices of their lights & other products are not competitive. Infact their LED down light and ceiling fans are very expensive . I was served by a non chinese-speaking Asian lady. Some of the products which i thought was reasonable pricing ended up more expensive, when they added the gst at point of payment. I thought they were unethical in quoting me a price, but tagged on gst when i was about to pay. I ended up buying nothing from them & will never shop there anymore.

I went to Fancy Lighting last month and bought a 56" Alpha brand ceiling fan, with remote control & LED lighting. Very happy with their product recommendation & service. I was served by a young man who was very helpful & has good product knowledge . I will be going again to buy 2 more fans from him!

I used to have an Elmark 54" in the hall, however after 1 yr, remote control was not workg. I calles Bright House Lights for servicg ( i had bought the fan from them), they charged me $155 for remote control replacement & labour! Another 12 months later, the remote control was not working again. Elmark company has poor service & Bright House charges are very expensive. I decided to give up repairing the fan. Finally i went JB recently & bought 56" Alpha brand at just a fraction of the price that Bright House charge for a similar 56" Fanco brand w LED lighting. Alpha fan is wkg well, & wind is very strong even at level 1.
