Wow! Your storeroom light looks pretty good! I've also gotten my storeroom light from Lightcraft. They are having a massive sales the last time I visit, not sure whether the sales is still ongoing now. Mine's $25 which is reasonable too. Anyway good luck to your reno! Looking forward to seeing your final product!

hi faifai, Thanks for the compliment! Hmmm.. It's not exactly transparent. If I'm not wrong, the one I have requested is a frosted glass wardrobe door.

I think if I'm not wrong, it's not borne by both party 50-50, I think it will be a case of the "leakage" party compensating the affected party (neighbour below) and also pay for the rectification work. I'm not sure how this issue is normally solved in resale flats (maybe dependable on the negotiating skills of both parties ) but for BTO flats, if a leakage affects the neighbour below, not only do you require to make compensation to the neighbour, you also need to pay penalty and also pay a hefty sum to HDB to engage their appointed contractor to fix the problem. This was repeatedly mentioned by the HDB officer when I went to HDB Hub to collect my keys. Sound scary to the wallet.

Hi there! Welcome to Renotalk! No worries, take your time to familiarize with the T-blog functions, you will soon get the hang of it. Hahaha! Happy reno!

AWESOME! Causeway Point is pretty near to my workplace, shall drop by this week to check them out. Woooohoooooo! Thanks for the valuable info!

Yeah! The bean bags are very trendy! I'm also thinking about buying it if my pockets ain't burnt by my earlier purchases. Hahaha! Hmm.. For the payment terms, you are asking about Hommage? I paid like only $150 for deposit on my TV console, the rest will be payable by cheque upon delivery.
-
Ohhhh.. Hope they will faster rectify the problem for you. Otherwise when you see the utilities, you will .
-
Wow! I think we got the same mixer from Taobao!
-
Where did you purchase the quilt from?
-
Hey ChinSer, If I'm not wrong, orders from Hommage will have a waiting period of estimated 1 month. If you are not in a rush, you can consider Hommage as the services are excellent. I have ordered a TV console from them and it take about 4 to 5 weeks before it can be delivered to my house. Another option you can try is fortytwo.sg. I got majority of my furniture there. Hahaha!

Hahaha.. I'm not changing my toilet bowl, so I guess I won't be facing this problem. However, I'm changing my toilet basin to those vanity (w cabinet) sets. I will take note of this during the installation, which is probably next week or the week after. Thanks man! Anyway does your leakage affect the neighbour below? I heard if affect neighbour below will be very costly, especially the compensation, rectification work.

Wow! I'm sooooo jealous ! Hahaha! The Philips Coasters looks soooooo cool!

Haizzzzzzz... That's so true! GSS arrived too late for us , my pocket had already been burnt to ashes.

I have discussed with my folks but they are not keen on a house warming party because they scare the whole place will be made messy again, especially if there are kids around . Guess I probably have to go with their idea, otherwise they will throw the broom and mop at me after the party. Sorry about it!

Haha! Thanks! My living hall is not exactly fully painted yet. The whole wall should be 'sandstone' colour instead of just that small area. Will post the updates when the paint is up this week. What shade of green did you choose? Some tones of green make perfect living room colour.

Hahaha, no worries for the delay. Wish you good luck that your contractors ain't gonna anyhow charge you exorbitant price for the renovation. Ask you electrician to give you discount on the electrical work, or otherwise bill him an invoice for the personal service (chatting) rendered to his wife. Wahahahaha!

Weet-Ah-Weet!! Simple yet cozy feel to the living room. Really beautiful place to live in. Good job!

Hahaha.. I didn't consult any FSM. Thought I'm only violating a couple of FS common rules (eg reflective glass wardrobe beside bed, leg facing room entrance) but as I browse through the renotalk forum, I realised that I have violated quite a few. Hopefully everything will be okay in the future. Hahaha! I didn't watch the reno-show on TV! Thanks for the explanation. I guess I got to pray more often now that I have erected a full height shoe rack in my living room.

Heading down to my Punggol house later in the afternoon to check out the progress of the renovation works. Have not been monitoring it for a week, so I hope Mr ID won't disappoint me with another week of slow progress again. Anyway, it's the start of the Great Singapore Sales (GSS) peeps! Get ready your wallet/purse and let the shopping game ..........................BEGIN! May the 'shopping' odds be ever in your favour. Adiós!

Hahaha.. Meeting 1 per weekend is a tiring chore. Maybe you can restrict yourself to a maximum of 10 IDs in total so that you don't need to repeat the same story to a new ID every weekend and also have an easier time making decision on who you wanna select for your renovation. Anyway have an awesome weekend man!

My Humble Abode
Bengologist replied to lawrenceke's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat - HDB BTO Interior Design and Renovation
Yeah you are right, lawrenceke is an awesome dude. If he start charging for every link or contact he share, most likely I have to remove a part of my renovation fees and transfer to him too. Hahaha! Have a fantastic weekend peeps! -
Hey Easter, Are you serious on the "fengshui masters always say that try not to put shoes at a level above your height"? I didn't know about that and I have already instructed my ID to proceed with a full height shoe cabinet. The carpenter is working on it now. Gosh... I think my house design & layout violate a lot of fengshui principles, let's hope that everything will be smooth for my family and I after we move to Punggol.

Wow! Thanks for the info! All hail the mighty GSS! Let the shopping spree..............................BEGIN! Woooohooooooooo!

Do you wanna build a full-height shoe rack so that you can hide the empty space on the left wall and also maximise the storage space for shoes? I'm not sure about others but I feel it look kinda "empty" for the space above your current shoe rack. Anyway, it's just a small suggestion. If you feel otherwise, it's okay, hahahaha..

Yappy Happy Place
Bengologist replied to mrsyap's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat - HDB BTO Interior Design and Renovation
If I'm not wrong, those darker black lines on the floorplan means absolutely no hacking of the walls. For other parts of the house, I think it's hackable as long as it won't cause much disruption/accident. Anyway I think you let other renotalkers enlighten you, I'm also not skilled in this aspect.
