You get a better sense of what to expect when you do work with them About the air-con, I had a lot of headache myself and there have been a lot of negative feedback with the big aircon retailers such as gain city Have you considered this guy - Tim Wong who advertises here on renotalk? The company is Hong Huat Electrical and they really gave me the cheapest quote Also their team has many positive feedback on renotalk

    Haha. It'll be a very nice effect I think. Wish I was bolder and got the painter to do a matt black ceiling.

    Flooring installed. Quite pleased with the result although some parts of my floor were uneven to begin with The entire kitchen/dining/living and bedroom are all in the same design/colour to create a sense of continuous space. Unfortunately I noticed trimmings which are walnut brown in colour and clashes with all the grey floorings. Gotta get Evorich to rectify that. Sigh.

    Hello! I noticed that you have two pendant lamps in the kitchen - I think from Ikea? How many watts each? And do you feel it is sufficiently bright? I have two pendant lights planned for my small kitchen and worried it might be too dark.

    Ya there are lots of other vinyl products that are similar as Allure which is the HERF product that Evorich sells i.e. click and lock and glueless If you google Allure, you will be kinda shocked how cheap it is in the US...

    Thank u! Being my own "ID" has been very challenging. Have to be strict with myself about strictly keeping to three colours (grey, black and white) for the structure. I changed my mind twice about the floor colour - initially wanted durban oak, then markham oak medium but realised I was compromising. I think Evorich sick of hearing my voice already. heh

    Sadly, this will only come in November and I will need 3 panels. Gulp. Think it's really worth it though.

    HERF is really just a type of vinyl. It's just marketed and positioned to make it sound better. That's why the Evorich chaps won't call it vinyl ever. heh Laminates, on the other hand, are definitely not vinyl or HERF.

    Last week not much action except painting. Mostly because I was waffling about making some decisions. This week lots of stuff happening. Flooring being installed, doors being painted (I couldnt bear to change the nyatoh door) Carpentry and electric will be done this week. Didn't manage to unbox any taobao stuff last week as I needed to wait, although my hands felt very itchy hee Later this week should be able to post some reviews of taobao purchases. Can't wait.

    Thanks for letting me know. I did contact him before my first taobao shipment and he goes by the name of jack. However he does not represent a company and is doing this as a sideline. I expect that he works in a logistics company that has spare freight space that he exploits. Anyway I feel that it's high risk and not worth the savings. Prob about 100 bucks only? Angielika - u took the words out of my mouth.

    Morning sarah, For small purchases can use peeka too. They will go by weight and u get it in a few days. Friends in sg buy apparel from taobao frequently and shipping generally costs no more than 20 dollars I've been too busy to unbox taobao stuff yet. Hopefully this weekend!

    Really like the theme of grey, wood grain and stainless steel. Wanted stainless steel doors for kitchen cabinets to really bring out the industrial-ness but had difficulty implementing. Option 2 for the pendant lamp definitely! Option 1 is more modern contemporary in my opinion and option 3 is not as interesting visually as option 2
