I had white kitchen for 11 years. Hate it and changing it for my Reno. I find white is not lasting and it looks dirty after a while. Bye bye white kitchen!

Kitchen Back Splash - Stainless Steel, T-Glass Or Mosaic Tiles?
Buzzlebub replied to AhTeo's topic in Kitchen & Bathroom
I'm using glass backsplash (normal) for the kitchen and stainless steel just for the hob area. -
It is smelly. And unless you just use the oven or only steaming/boiling, u can't avoid the oiliness and smell. I regretted an open kitchen so with my new Reno, I'm closing it up again. But instead of closing it fully with concrete, I'm using glass to close off the cooking area and a counter top in the open area leading to the living room. I think this is the best of both worlds. I get the enclosed kitchen for cooking and at the same time, I get the counter for the open area.

I guess I have to clarify that mine is a 5 room flat. I read that granite emits radiation so not safe. They are charging me $800 just to dismantle the current cabinets which I think is excessive.

My 5 year old bosch washer is still doing well.

Personally, I don't think 40k is possible with resale 5rm flat unless u really keep it simple with minimal hacking.

I'm quoted about 18k for my kitchen Reno. Includes dismantling, hacking, tiling of existing kitchen and floor. Not hacking wall. L shape kitchen cabinet top and bottom, full ht 900mm cabinet, 1 oven full ht cabinet, 1.5m tall counter with bottom cabinets, LG solid surface (18ft) for L shape cabinet counter, glass backsplash cum stainless steel (hob area) and tempered glass sliding door etc. Reasonable? There are plenty of cabinets I think.

Anybody uses dishwashers? What brand is good? Electrolux? Bosch? I'm thinking of getting a stand alone type that can go under the counter top instead of getting a semi integrated type.
-
I checked with ariston but they don't have.

I've been looking for a gas and induction hybrid hobs but can only find Electrolux selling one. Anybody bought that? It's made in China though so I'm not sure if it will be a good buy.
