Hi Greg, Took ur advice and went to paint shops to check out the colours and the shades are really mind-boggling. Very close shades and also look so different under shop light and the outdoor natural daylight. Gentry blue looks dark in paint shop but much lighter under sun. Just to check, the paint colour is a custom-mix right, so which paint type did you go for? The shop said can choose between pentalite, wash wear or dulux all? Did you take the Dulux all? What' the price for a litre? For your accent wall in bedroom, is it about 2 liters paint? The painter who is now doing the painting for my block told me about 2 liters is about sufficient for one wall. You good leh, can decide paint colour in 3 hours. I think I will take longer. My place is not ready yet, will get keys by February hopefully so I have still time to consider. Where did you buy your paint from? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the explanation. Asking your advice here, what do you think of Ascot Blue ICI http://encycolorpedia.com/9ba4a8? Do you think it will have the same effect as gentry blue but lighter? I think based on your analysis, it should be similar to gentry blue except it is lighter cos the key colour intensity is about 30+ and have similar shades of cyan and magenta. Am I reading the chart correctly? I also am not too adventurous with colour and I want a mainly white palette in my new place. So hoping to get the shade of my accent walls right....I love the gentry blue wall irl of your place. It's a cool calm restful look. It complements the white shade well. I also like grey but the special blue tint of your wall is more unique than grey. And I think that is about as dark as I want my wall to get. So I am hoping to find a similar shade that is just a few notches lighter. Your bay window is high! Mine is recently built so bay windows are seat level about 50 cm high I guess. Thinking of putting an IKEA expedit shelf along the length of bay window to create more storage cos the windows are pretty huge anyway so think not much light will be blocked. Thinking of laying the faux grass carpet beneath the expedit shelf to add more colour to the window. I have bay window in one of my toilets as well but luckily, it's already tiled. For shades, did you get any? Read that ur ceiling is high. Mine is 3.5m thereabout and think window treatments gonna cost a bomb...so do you have any recommendations? I most prob would do roller blinds and timber blinds cos I don't really fancy curtains. Thanks!

Oh, just to add, will look out for ur post on colour selection later. It will def be of great use cos I got a headache looking at he colour chart. It has all the subtle variations but I do think getting the precise shade is important on the accent wall. Ad it's hard to visualize on colour chart. Ur wall irl is really nice, on colour chart, it looks more grayish.

Thanks! From your description (just roll and clean the concrete bay window), does that mean the turf is like a carpet and does not stick onto window? Wow, seems like a good and nice low cost alternative to expensive bay window treatments. Thanks for the great idea.

Hi Cynthia, you've totally transformed your dresser into an ornate European style dresser! just curious, how much time did you spend priming and painting the dresser? Want to see if I can pull off something like this for a small piece of furniture....

Hi Greg, thanks for the info! I am a noob at reading the chart. If I want a slightly lighter shade, do I go to Colour Gradients and check out those colors that descends to white? Anyway, I also like what you did with your bay window. Is it costly? Did you get from absolute outdoors faux turf or did you DIY those with fake grass decking from home-fix store? Does the turf only cover the top or it extends to the exposed sidewall the way to floor? How do you clean it? I have many many bay windows in my new home and I am thinking of ways to lay them over....wanted to lay laminates over but m concerned about sun exposure since my window will face direct morning sun. I also considered granite but costly and have a cold feel....I even thought of just leaving them bare first and see how dirty it gets.....like you, I also want to keep costs low. Dun even intend to get a contractor. I may just go directly to carpenter, electrician etc....

Hi Greg, Nice bachelor pad u have, it's a spacious one bedder. Just wanna check is the colour of the accent wall in your bedroom, Canadian sky? ...It has a subtle bluish tint that makes it look very nice and different from the usual grey. Does the wall look dark at night? Thanks.

Hi Cynthia, Thanks for the info on the living room paint colour. Just wanna ask, is this also the colour of the wall of the entrance area (where the shoe cabinet is and the entrance to the kitchen is) - nippon urban grey? Thanks in advance....there are so many shades of grey and I want to choose a medium tone one, not too dark or light and your grey on the entrance wall area where main door is is what I have in mind!
