    Patio is 3/4 ways done up with granite. However, I don't see any more granite lying around, which makes me wonder if they've somehow miscalculated and are now short of granite to finish laying the patio completely. ID says the color of the wooden/brownish fence has to go.. asked us to think about what color we want to paint it. He suggested greyish brown. Not sure what that actually is meant to look like. Me staring at my own two feet. Love my patio floor! Please let them finish laying it out! Oh.. and one thing I like that my ID did without me asking, he made sure the granite was laid in such a way that it sloped towards the two drainage holes. Its one of the things that make me feel reassured that he is experienced and thoughtful.

    At first we were gonna put brick around it. Then when all the hacked walls came down, and we looked at the space again, we realised the floor plan has made the place look a lot bigger than it really is. (what's new right? Zzz) so we are extending the kitchen island out to that pillar as well. So the island will encompass both (irritating) beams.

    Not sure. Think I'll leave it to my ID to figure out what kinda white he gonna paint it. Am so in love with brick walls i actually like them all. So no matter what kinda white he paints it I'm still gonna love it. Haha. So let him decide I guess.

    Hmm.. I realise my bricks are abit too perfect.. not the very rustic .. rugged kind. I think to leave it as it is, it would be nice to have it rustic and rugged looking.. more uneven.. not so perfect. So am leaning towards just painting it white.

    ID says he likes the way the brick walls look. We are supposed to plaster over it and paint it white (in a slightly uneven sort of way to emphasize its texture) but he says he likes it the way it is right now. He feels that it will go with the cement screed floor and wooden door i have now. What do you guys think? Leave it as it is, or paint it white?

    Hi Mika... which beam are you referring to? the one in the bathroom? That one will be covered by false ceiling. Where is your beam? If in living room then abit more headache. Are you going for the industrial look?

    Thank you for your encouragement I asked my ID.. he says.. should be okay ba... (doesn't really make me feel super assured) To be fair, he did get a aircon guy he's been using for all his projects to come n quote us... but we didnt use his guy in the end cuz we found cheaper ones ourselves. But maybe we should have just gone with his recommendations.. then now won't be so stressed.

    I think I give up about the aircon. Just hope for the best. Like I told my super stressed htb, so many people do aircon, all no problem, cannot be everyone check their aircon pipes the way we try to do, should be okay ba.

    They came again recently to "redo" it. The office said they would come with their supervisor, but they didn't. Two guys just came and said, you don't understand what we did issit? I explain to you.. then they proceeded to say that everything was as it should be. Its normal, etc. And when we pointed out a tear in the insulation material, they proceeded to duct tape it up. Sigh.. I hope it all turns out alright la. They say sure no problems. I'm worried.

    For the lights, I believe in retail shops, you can look at Franc Franc at vivocity, Light Craft at Jalan Sultan and the furniture shops at Park Mall.

    I actually am getting these lights ... to hang right at the window.. love them. Getting 4 of them, I wanted to get more.. but htb said feels might be too much. I had alot of bathroom pictures.. dunno where they all went.

    Presenting.. my mood board. I actually collected most of these pictures long ago. This is the first set, and I think I won't upload the others. Got most of them from design blogs that I read, Design Sponge, Emmas Design Blog and Desire to Inspire.     I have a platform in my current place for the bed. Got pros and cons. Under the bed is storage, but I hardly use it because its too troublesome to lift up the mattress to access the storage below. Another thing is, sometimes when I just wake up, blur blur, I will trip off the steps or knock into the corners of the platform before I go to bed. Also I have a dog, and my dog can easily run up my bed because its got steps and all. Oh, and its next to the window and my mother used to be terrified that I'd fall out the window because the platform made the bed area so high. As for pros.. I liked the look. But after a few years.. abit zzz also. And it seems to take up too much space.
